Security guards questioned the couple in front of a crowd after seeing them in the toilets at Cineworld in Clements Road, Ilford, according to 28-year-old Tracey Seaton.
She and girlfriend Keira Williams, 27, were treating themselves to a post Christmas day out on December 27.
But their trip to see Annie was ruined, and Tracey, who lives in Barking, says she is now scared to use public toilets on her own.
“It’s just outrageous,” she said. “I have never felt so humiliated in all my life. For the first time ever I feel ashamed of being myself. They should treat couples with respect regardless of what people look like and make it a gay-friendly place.”
The couple were given £20 gift vouchers and two free tickets following the misunderstanding.
“They’ve given us gift vouchers and I’ve told them to stuff it,” said Tracey. “I just want them to train their staff on how to deal with these situations and on how to treat people appropriately.”
Tracey feels the incident was turned into a “huge drama” simply because of the way she and her girlfriend, who lives in Kent, looked.

I always thought that with a lesbian pair, one of them assumed the ‘male’ role, that is she assumed the bread-winner position and was usually the more masculine of the pair.
This couple looks like they both want to be men!
I've always wondered the same thing when I see a feminine lesbian with a manly girlfriend. Why do they prefer a cheap imitation (some might say parody) of the opposite sex as opposed to either a. an actual male partner or b. a feminine female partner? Same thing applies in reverse to masculine homosexual men with effeminate "boy"friends.
A friend married a guy who looked just like the one wearing glasses. Funny thing was, he turned out to be gay.

Looking at the posted examples, it would appear that none of them could attract someone of the opposite sex so they chose another one who looked similar to themselves. Who said “opposites attract”?
