InfoSys should be asked why they’re hiring so many people from India and Pakistan.

Betrayal? Your first mistake is assuming these congress people give a darn about Americans. I’m under no such illusions.

I work with plenty of them and they don’t suck where I am. all the high tech jobs will be lost but so will healthcare and other industry jobs, e.g., nurses, docs, techs, etc. What in God’s name do these morons expect Americans to do. How is this not a traitorous act to purposefully sell out the American people? All the job growth for years has been only in contract work with foreign workers. We really do need to revolt.

Many tech companies strongly prefer Chinese engineers and Indian programmers, plus some other foreigners. They say that the biggest reason is that so many Americans just don’t work very hard ( the “ entitlement attitude”), especially the younger ones ( and there’s vast age discrimination against emoting older engineers anyway, thereby doubling the adverse impact on Americans seeking jobs. Some of our most prominent engineering firms have been known to not even interview graduates at the top of their classes at our leading engineering schools. Check out who they do hire and you’ll see why.

No surprise. The bribes from the Chamber of Commerce didn’t come cheap. Who in their right mind will vote for the political whores in 2016?

There are so many unemployed people here. So many have lost their jobs in the last 5 years. This is their idea of doing something about jobs. What a bunch of disconnected arseholes.

you are right. same job as mine—30k less. It is like there are two classes—foreign and Americans and it seems to have turned back EEOC, same job same salary, all the gains made in the last 20 years. Plus these folks bring their culture with them. They hire more of themselves by lining up with the companies that bring their type of worker and they freeze us out. When they manage they act like they are in their own countries with terrible hours (it is nothing for them to tack on an extra 20 hours a week on their staff with no expectation they wont do it), lack of respect for women, and lack of respect for our traditions. the other issue they create is they bring their larger families and bounce around from town to town because their contracts tend to be shorter. so what impact are they having on localities and services?

“Republican and Democratic senators ... would increase the number of high-tech visas to 115,000 a year from 65,000 ... could go as high as 195,000 in any one year”

I have a lot better idea—replacing these jackass senators with people chosen randomly from a telephone book.

As usual my great senator, Jeff Sessions, rose to the defense of the American people. Would that there were many more like him. His committee chairmanship punishment has not shut him up.

There is not a shortage of high-tech workers in this country.

The shortage is of high-tech workers who are willing to work for $30 per hour, no benefits.

> These are the people we want

Um, not really. The vast majority of them are very UN-talented, don't speak English well, and only care about sucking from the great big teat that is America.

My experience is that the majority of “foreign high-tech workers” suck.

But they're cheap. That outweighs the suck.

Bingo ! You hit it out of the park.

Plus the "imports" may be found working through holidays like, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, as well as weekends and evenings, all because some pointy-headed MBA type needs to get a bonus to pay for his Audi, and doesn't mind making everyone else work hard for it.

There was an article a few months ago where one company imported a bunch of technical workers and worked them 120 hours per week for $1.29 hr and gave them no overtime.

More outsourcing of jobs to India. Companies are doing it all over.

Its part of the destruction plan for America.
