Glenn Beck was really pimping this. Its race-baiting crapola, a little like the Butler.
It’ll still get the Academy Award for best picture.
How can a movie smear a slimeball?
If it flops, it’ll be blamed on racism.
119. Selma; Gross => $14,390,136

For comparison, Guardians of the Galaxy is #1 at $333 million.
Has anyone figured out how to cash in on The Gentle Giant?
I think Trayvon may be ahead in posthumous "box office" receipts, although no one really knows.
Phony thug heroes and the amount of moolah made on them might be a new entertainment sector for Variety or Cash Box to look into.
Beck said every conservative needs to see this. He said he was amazed at the fact that an Oprah movie actually got it right with LBJ. His assessment shocked me. I can’t see Oprah playing a role in anything but revisionist history BS.
I wouldn’t waste my time watching this dreck even if it were free. I’d rather go scrub my kitchen floor.
“Smearing LBJ’’? Old “I don’t trust a man unless I’ve got his pecker in my pocket’’ LBJ? The guy was a bum.
Have the race pimps finally jumped the shark?? We shall see..........
WTF is an apple?
Huh
Not real interested here
I watched the prequel about 50 years ago, was pretty awful then
Scared the crap outta me as a kid, seeing the hoses and the dogs and all the angry black people
Few years later they fire bombed some subsidized housing where my aunt and cousins lived, they were the only pale people there - no black people got fire bombed in the complex, just them
Decided Selma was better left behind
‘Roots’: fair cop. A big part of US history many were unfamiliar with.
But ‘Selma’ is the latest from the so-called civil rights movement as it plays the usual medley of its Greatest Hit (singular).
What may not be clear to the race bizzers is that the ritual of self-congratulation only brings into stark relief how their leaders have squandered their ‘victory’ in the 50 years following.
The greatest irony is all the rhetoric about bondage, freedom, self-determination, etc. in the 60s is rendered moot by the de facto enslavement of much of the black population by a political party with the eager help of black collaborators. A vote to eat tomorrow is really no vote at all, as the Democrats intended.
The big mistake was the films title, it should have been SELLLma.
How does one “smear” LBJ? By portraying him as honest and concerned for minorities?
Propaganda movies not doing so hot these days.....
Americans have been race baited a bit too much and probably assumed the film was more race bait. Race bait is race hate by another name.
Oh, dear. Well, maybe Glenn Beck can buy enough tickets to shore it up at the box office.
I aint no way tired, we sure are!
Ok, blacks had a hard time, I get it. Geez, are we going to be bombarded every year with more white guilt fests?
