For the first time since Gallup has conducted polling, people say that the "biggest problem" in America is "the government." It topped all other categories, including terrorism. "2014 was the first year ever in Gallup records that dissatisfaction with government topped the list," the 80-year-old firm said. "Government includes dissatisfaction with President Obama."
And angst over government has been climbing each year since 2009, when Obama took office, breaking a long period of relative satisfaction with government.
Beyond Obama, Americans are rejecting what the Left is selling the idea that government should determine our fate. No, they're saying that individuals should determine their own fate, returning to the core values of individualism that made this country great.
Americans are not realigning left, as many in the media have rejoiced. They've just been hoodwinked by slick propagandists Alinsky's coat-and-tie vanguard who have to disguise and package their unpopular ideas as "helping the middle class." ObamaCare, which in fact is crippling the middle class, is Exhibit A.
The Obamas and Warrens of the world have to lie and deceive. In his many odes to big government, Obama has waxed Orwellian about how "preserving our individual freedoms ultimately requires collective action. He sermonizes about how "we have individual responsibility, but we also have collective responsibility to each other." He insists we have to be "our brother's keeper.
Such warmed-over Marxism is right out of the Alinsky handbook for radicals...
Obama tells people that it's not their job as individuals to go out and pursue their own life and happiness, but rather the government's job to do it for them. In the classic novel "1984," "ownlife" was Newspeak for individualism to think and do for oneself without Big Brother's help or approval.

None of that is the job of the federal government. The Constitution, which created the federal government, defines and limits exactly what is the extent of the feds power and purpose.
If this poll is accurate, it is good news. At least it is showing a hopeful trend. Recognizing the problem is necessary to fixing the problem but not sufficient to doing so. Insisting on putting the federal government back into its constitutional cage and cutting all that is unconstitutional (at least 80%) is also necessary.
The states and the people have to be willing to scrap the unconstitutional "entitlements" and "goodies" of government hand outs (using our money, of course) and cut the massive, unconstitutional, threatening, bloated $4 trillion federal government by at least 80% for the sake of freedom, self-sufficiency, and independence under our Free Constitutional Republic.
Freedom, by definition, is the absence of government coercion and freedom in action is the voluntary cooperation of individuals in the free market economy, taking risks, working hard, striving for betterment, which is how America has been and will always be the land of opportunity with the average person better off than anywhere in the world.
To once again be the land of the free, we must shed the chains of government guarantees, and once again be the home of the brave.
As if Baraq cares a bit about what Americans want.
Any country where half of the population demands that the other half provide them with free stuff and handouts cannot survive.
Let's hope the American People reject Obama and the Lefties' desire for power. Let's hope that instead, the American People renew a resolve to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, their only legal bulwark of freedom from tyranny, and our nation will have a new birth of freedom.
Government the biggest problem? Democrats will never buy this.
They will find some “flaw” in the survey. Denial is a Democrat Party plank.
The only thing that matters is what Americans do at the election booths. Their voting power makes them masters of their own fate regardless of Obama and the Lefties care about or want.
Where is the survey? Why no link to this p o ll?
If only there were candidates who Americans could vote for.
Any country with such a diverse population cannot survive.
Show just one in the history of mankind that has.
It’s only a matter of time.
The idiot demographic elected Obama and then re-elected him.
He said he would transform the nation and that is what he is doing.
He doesn’t care what Americans want.
The country will get what he dishes out.
Who will stop him?
John Boehner?
Mitch McConnell?
Justice Roberts?
Barry and the RATS’ plan to import poverty was an evil, stupid idea but they’ve imported enough America-hating foreigners into this country that now they will be able to get away with it.
The American People via their voting power at the ballot box and the states via nullification of unconstitutional federal acts.
Bump
The big problem is that Boehner does not reject Obama’s desire for bigger and more intrusive government.....and his pals in the GOPe.
As we keep telling people, anytime you trust the Government to give you what you want your actually putting your trust in politicians and the bureaucracy under them.
Its insanity! Republican or democrat none of us trust the other side so why should we want them running healthcare or any other service we need?
Only an ill-rational moron trust the government to remain both honest and competent with anything over time.
Yes that includes the military which i’m sorry to say is by private sector standard an extremely wasteful and ineffective enterprise. Now that doesn’t mean we want to privatize the army its just a reconciliation of the nature of Government. Wisdom dictates you only ever give a responsibility to the public sector if you have no other choice.
The disastrous effects of Obamacare couldn’t make that more clear.
We should send him a copy of this poll and remind him he is trending toward the wrong side of history. He needs to free our people!
Shut down this monstrosity in Washington and bring economic freedom back to our land!
