Barack Obama next week will unveil plans to improve cyber security and protect consumers from identity theft, as the administration continues to grapple with the hacking of documents, personal data and emails at Sony Pictures.

As part of that effort, the president will meet Congressional leaders, host an event at the Federal Trade Commission and discuss legislation and executive actions that will be highlighted in his State of the Union address to Congress later this month.
