The cop assault was against a plainclothes alcohol enforcer, and Zimmerman says he didn;t know it was a cop, and after he found out it was a cop, he allowed his friend to be "processed" without further incident. The charge was dropped, too.

I'll cut Zimmerman the benefit of the doubt before I'd give the state of Florida any credit.
