Terrified shoppers hid in a freezing cold storage room for five hours after Islamic terrorists stormed a Paris supermarket.
Hearing the sound of gunfire above them about thirty Jewish people buying kosher food for the Sabbath cowered in minus three temperatures praying they would not be found.
One of the shoppers, 36-year-old father-of-four Johan Dorre was able to call a friend on his mobile phone to tell him they were trapped two floors below the ground floor, where six hostages were held at gunpoint.

I agree. There has never been a problem with the courage or sagacity of the French soldier. Unfortunately, often their leadership stinks.

I knew little of my mom’s side, other than her grandfather was an artist. (have one of his pics). A few years ago, a relative sent a copy of some articles of him. He was the American recorder at the signing of the Armistice in WWI, in a railcar. When Hitler overran France, he made them surrender in that same railcar. :-O

I heard a guy on FNC say that there are about 35 areas in the US that are Moslem “communities” - he said most were rural, so the police rarely go there. He mentioned Carolina, GA, California. I remember reading that there was a training camp in OR at one time, haven’t heard anything about it in quite some time. I believe there are areas in MI cities and some CA cities that have them. I’ve seen groups of Somali women (wearing the long black garb and head covering) and children in south Seattle stores and at the Southcenter Mall.

A recent post hee gave the muslim population percentage for a number of counties and cities in the US. In the city of Emporia, VA, muslims are 30% of the population !
You didn't offend me at all, I'm not French and have no relationship with France. It's just bad history you were repeating.
In both WWI and WWII, the common French soldiers fought very bravely. Sadly in both wars, especially WWI, they had terrible leadership, and the soldiers paid a heavy price in blood for that.
