Leelah Alcorn, the transgender teen who committed suicide in Ohio on Dec. 28, opened up about a sense of desperation to a fellow classmate at Kings High School last year. In a Facebook message to Raiden Quinn, Alcorn wrote, "Ever since I was 4, I knew I wish I was born a girl, and a couple of years ago I came out to my family and close friends as transsexual and they freaked out, in the bad way." Well, the new 1984 speak about transexuals is they really are the other sex’s brain in the wrong sex body, so it’s up to society to “fix” itself to admit that that’s the truth, & to recognize & acknowledge their...reality’s truth. Cripes - I quit society.
Oh hahahahahaha, that is so funny. I wonder who came up with that idea. God must sit up there and laugh at the excuses people come up with to explain a demon possession.
She appears to have some deep seated and serious psychological problem which is likely to get her killed. Homosexuals are the most disease ridden portion of the population.

She does. But the medical community denies it and there is no treatment.
"Support Network". Or, in this case, "I'm just like you, too, so there's absolutely nothing wrong with either one of us.".
it has nothing to do with how my sister looks. because of my sister I have met a few transgendered people and they run the gambit from attractive to plain ugly. as far as males that are transsexual go I don’t have enough experience with them to comment one way or the other. though I will say this there is a difference between transgendered and transvestite. someone that is transgendered is trying to fool themselves while a transvestite generally knows there internal sex and instead the wearing of the opposite sexes clothing is a fetish and totally sexual in nature.
The proliferation of “trans-friendly” media and support groups has only meant more suicides among the transgendered. It makes you wonder if (as I believe) most transgender suicides are the result of a horrific “buyer’s remorse” from people who suddenly realize they have mutilated their bodies irrevocably for no good reason.
I think many teens get into a pattern of self-destructive behavior. Teenage transgenderism seems like a mixture of body dissatisfaction and self-disapproval.
Yes, she stopped breathing.
Oh, that’s right. SOCIETY’S broken, not them. I got it now.
Such a shame.
That's how I see it as well. They're not comfortable in their own skin because their bodies are changing and they think it'd be easier in the skin of another gender. We ALL went through it, but most of us didn't have psychotic leftists cheering us through it by telling us it's "easy" to be the opposite sex.
As much as I do feel sympathy for those who do commit suicide. I also view it as a very selfish act mainly because of the pain of those left behind.
Did anyone see the movie “World’s Greatest Dad?” It is a forgettable movie and I won’t spoil it. Robin Williams is a father to a son who wrote his son’s suicide letter after he finds him dead and becomes a cause celeb. It was all a hoax.
Call me skeptical because this stinks of a hoax suicide note.
On the one hand, it’s wrong to reinforce gender stereotypes.
On the other hand, we are supposed to entertain a transgender person’s desire to live according to stereotypical gender expectations, for the gender opposite their biological sex.
So, which is it? These seem to be mutually exclusive social norms.
With regard to this and similar cases, the real tragedy is that the "helping" professions are confusing the symptoms with the cause. Suicidal persons often experiment with social transgressions as a way to self-medicate the brain with adrenaline; but the relief doesn't last and requires more and more risky behaviors to obtain relief. It is the depression and anxiety that need to be treated aggressively.

How true - I had some students that see themselves as lesbian ask me what I thought. I asked, “How do you know that for certain? You bodies and opinions change a million times as a teenager. You don’t really start to figure out who you are until your early twenties!”
They had never considered it.
his career is over.
I agree. This suicide is being used to push through laws forbidding what is called conversion therapy.
“I knew I wish I was born a girl,”
What a convoluted logical construct.
