How did we go from molestation to gay as a topic of discussion?

The Pope’s quote has nothing to do with the topic we were discussing.

The Catholic Church and it’s followers are complicit in the evil the Islam is.

And so another proud Protestant tries to imply the worst, “queering” all sensible dialogue. This is the most evangelical pope the Catholic church has had for years. The “personally return to the Lord” theme is heard more often than before. It sounds odd coming from the Catholic church. But it is a move in a profoundly correct direction.

Who is going to seek for salvation.. NON sinners?

Why can’t evangelicals grant the benefit of biblical theology to Christians in other denominations. To me this is a matter of being honest and consistent. Argh, we can’t POSSIBLY imagine Jesus moving this guy along... we’d sooner trump up theories of Babylon whores. If you really appreciate what Jesus has done for you as a sinner, then you can begin to appreciate what Jesus does in milieus you know less about. And no it’s not about saying it’s okay to STAY “gay.”

If the Catholic Church, it’s popes, and the Catholics themselves can’t tell that there is no way the Muslims serve the God of scripture it says volumes of their understanding of the God of scripture.

Just briefly --- I am not moving goal posts. I agree with you that the Islamic "enragees" don't need a picture of Muhammad being buggered to set them off; they could be set off by my tagline, or by nothing at all. However, we were talking specifically about Charlie Hebdo, and they did run such picture (plural, pictures) so it was apt for me to use that as an example of what we might mostly agree fits in the "too far, too provocative" category. People do get angry about that kind of obscenity; I do; and if some Muslims do too, they are rightly angered.

They are not rightly inspired to murder, but they are rightly angered.

Second, "Donahue is an apologist for murderers, rapists, and enslavers."

No he's not. He condemned the atrocities. Your charge is contra-factual.

Third, "Those who assert a right to murder, rape, pillage, plunder, and enslave others in the name of God do not deserve these courtesies." All Muslims can rightly be angered by obscenities; most Muslims are not rapists, murderers, etc. nor supporters of such crimes.

You may say that is not relevant because their so-called "sacred texts," the Koran and the Hadith, plus 1400 years of Islamic jurisprudence, require them to be either jihadists or supporters. Well, a lot of them don't live down to the "ideals" of their religion. You could call them hypocrites: they are better than their creeds would dictate. This is a divergence from creed I would like to warmly encourage at every opportunity.

Fourth, "Although they are all filthy blasphemers, if they were to live in peace with us, I would count them good neighbors, share the Gospel as best as I could, respect them, and pray for their souls."

You and me both.

This is genuinely unrealistic of that church. I think they have attempted to find a common ground with Islam in “morality” but the problem is you can’t stop with “morality.” “Morality” can serve the devil too and it’s one of the wickedest and cruelest things the devil can do.

The character of the God you affirm matters.

...”If the Catholic Church, it’s popes, and the Catholics themselves can’t tell that there is no way the Muslims serve the God of scripture it says volumes of their understanding of the God of scripture.”.....

Exactly....but that too they will deny of course. Their willful ignorance has no limits in that which they will “follow” and dictated by their leadership.

Little boxes made of ticky tacky, little boxes all the same...

I wish this nonsense would stop. Not everyone who goes there has the same mind.

It most certainly does. It's not difficult to tell when one is not serving the God of scripture.

They align themselves and dedicate themselves to that organization and it’s beliefs. Look at the churches spoken of in Revelation. If they align themselves with the errors of the “church” they suffer the consequences. God meant it when He said “come out of her my people lest ye be partakers of her plagues”.

Yes, scripture such as “Return to Me and I will abundantly pardon.”

Catholics and all Christians should certainly tell Muslims (just like any sinners) that God is eager to pardon them. But it’s up to them to accept the pardon. And mere “morality” doesn’t get you there. You will see true moral improvements after the return begins. Anything else is a pitiful attempt to buy off God and never works and God does not even want it.

You certainly hold to the little boxes made of ticky tacky worldview.

Evangelical mindsets have a way of living out under the oddest circumstances, because Jesus is along with them.

Examine yourself... are you really using scripture as a support or as an excuse?

I’m not sure what you mean. Define “little boxes made of ticky tacky”. It must mean something to you but it certainly doesn’t to me.

Who said I'm a Protestant....you assume much from the get go.

I don't care how so called evangelical others may see Pope Francis....he's on the wrong side of true Christianity when he closes his eyes to the obvious and promotes or supports that which the Lord surely abhors.

The enemy of Christianity is not the cults...it's those who are “almost right” who carry the banner of Christianity while denying or skirting obvious direction and teachings of Jesus Christ...or twisting it into something it's not.

It's misleading and dangerous where Francis stands with Muslim's and as much homosexuals. Jesus never rode the fence, as this Pope is doing in order to carry the Globalist water for them.

God's word is very clear....to ignore it and devise ones own religious beliefs based on “unity” of the nations and religion is the enemies work.

Our God is a God of distinctions throughout the scripture. Whenever man attempts to build another tower of Babel it's going to be met with opposition by the Christian community...the Pope is building the religious arm of the NWO and all with eyes can clearly see this...I will NOT give him anything as long as he operates within the sphere of the Global push.

Exactly. Those who align with that church and the churches that join it are going to get caught in a web they can't get out of if they don't open their eyes. The half truths and corrupted beliefs of the Catholic Church is a dangerous organization to follow.

It will never stop as long as truth is permitted to offset and call out falshood and it’s teachings. There will come a day when truth will no longer be found though it will be indeed searched for to many a lost soul.

2 Cor 10:5...” We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God”.

2 Thes 2:10b-12 ....” They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.”

2 Tim 4:2-5 ....”Preach the word... Reprove, correct and encourage, using the utmost patience in your teaching. For the time is coming when men will not tolerate wholesome teaching.... They will want something to tickle their own fancies, and they will collect teachers who will speak what they want to hear..... They will no longer listen to the truth, but will wander off after man-made myths....

We’ve been warning and warning and sounding the alarm for a very long time...soon if not already...they will ot even listen. They will not be able to.
