The Republican party is “our” party?
You are talking about the same party that completely ignores the will of its own base.
You are talking about the same party that joyfully proclaimed that the days of Reagan conservatism is dead.
You are talking about the same party that time and time again has said that conservatives can not win on the national level and instead offer limp wristed wishy washy Juan Mclame, and Romney.
The GOP views conservatives like those of us on this site as the enemy.

Everything you say is true.Problem is as you travel around the country you discover that much of the corruption and the bad view of conservatives is dc or NE in origin. The rest of the country is not like that. Its full of small towns where most of the people are very conservative.Somehow we need to use that to our advantage.

No. Some members of the GOP view conservatives as the enemy just as we view them as the enemy. Why should we surrender the GOP to the moderate/centrists? Run from the battle? No. Engage the enemy and beat him!
