Politicians try to calm fears, but the mass shooting at Charlie Hebdo follows a series of attacks across France
French politicians rushed to offer their commiserations in the aftermath of the mass shooting at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris, but they have been battling fears about terrorism for years.
The success of Marine Le Pen, the far-Right Front National leader, has been the most visible sign of the rising tide of Islamophobia in France, which increased again in the wake of several attacks in December.
Miss Le Pen said that she was "horrified" by the attack on the satirical magazine, saying she felt "huge sadness for the victims and sent her condolences to the families of the victims."
In December, the French Prime Minister Manuel Valls had to call for calm after a series of attacks where cars were used as battering rams on festive crowds at Christmas.

Except for the large metropolitan areas, most American 'neighborhoods' are well-armed.I think the large metropolitan areas are well armed too. The problem is, it's the criminals and Islamists there who are well-armed.

"Being afraid to confront Islamic terrorists is the worst kind of Islamophobia."
It is a form of denial, for sure. And the self-censorship of most of the media regarding things Islamic is the most obvious sign of their fear. It will be obscene if the cowardly mainstream press use this incident as a way to puff themselves up.

Phobia is a fear. Too bad Islam is the Religion of Pieces.

They will go back to sleep. The Islamists are going to have to kill a whole lot more of them before the French start taking them seriously enough to actually *DO* something about the problem.
Europe! Deport the Muslims or they will destroy you.

I think a phobia pertains to an irrational fear of something. There isn’t anything irrational about fearing throat cutting islamists!

Is they keep blowing people up like they have been - Islamophobia might actually be accurate (but not in the way the Libtards use it).

Yeah, people get all sorts of irrational over a little mass murder, don't they?
Gotta wonder what planet this author is living on.

Islamoreality
To: al_c
Yep.
This is not Islamophobia. It is just a close new thread. We could publish a list a mile long about Islamic terrorist incidents.
Liberals still have to point way back to April 1994 to find the last major terrorist incident which doesn't involve Islam. Why do you suppose that is?

How totally screwed up must be the minds like the lib scribbler of this article to worry about the feelings of Muslims after what just happened? Twelve innocent people are slaughtered by Islamic savages, and she's worried there some people might hold Islam responsible.
Heck, even on DummyU a number of Dummies hope they catch the Islamic slime that did this and punish them with extreme prejudice. Why is it so difficult for many other libs to see the truth?...Muslims must be separated from the civilized people of the world.
