John Boehner’s allies have thirsted for the speaker to strike back at those who betray him. He’s been walked all over for too long, they say, and he’s too nice to people who are eager to stab him in the back.

He finally has learned the lesson.

After he secured his third term as speaker Tuesday afternoon, losing 25 votes on the House floor to some relative-unknown members of the House Republican Conference, Boehner moved swiftly to boot Florida Reps. Daniel Webster and Rich Nugent from the influential Rules Committee.

The reason was simple: Webster ran against Boehner for speaker, distributing fliers outlining his candidacy and talking about how he would better adhere to the House rules than the Ohio Republican. Nugent supported his fellow Floridian in the quixotic endeavor, which garnered the support of 12 lawmakers. Webster didn’t even give Boehner a heads-up that he was running, although leadership was aware early Tuesday morning that it could happen.

Of course. Those who dared to come out against him were already on his “$#!T list” and weren’t going to be getting any favors anyhow, so had nothing to lose.

Now riddle me this:

How many conservatives are there within the 435 member House of Representatives?

Exactly 28 voted for someone other then Boehner, just one vote short of the magic number. So, where were the conservatives?

The one question you should ask today is:

“Are liberals happen or sadder today that Boehner has won his battle?”

Tells you all you need to know.

Not one.

Is there a mechanism for the people of Boner’s district to recall his ass?

John Boehner was challenged in the primary by a Tea Party candidate who barely touched on 20% of the vote. His challenger, J.D. Winteregg was fired from his job as an adjunct professor at Ohio’s Cedarville University.

Back in 2010 Boehner was challenged in the primary by Justin Coussoule, a West Point graduate and former army captain working as a purchasing manager for Cincinnati-based consumer products manufacturer Procter & Gamble in Ohio, a company Boehner owned stock in. Coussoule was also fired from his job.

The power game in the beltway is deadly serious.

I want to figure out some way to f*** him up. I’ve got to think outside of the box.

Maybe I don’t have all the resources available to me personally, but I want to figure some way to make sure he doesn’t walk away from this un-bruised and un-bloodied.

Between us, I’d expect we can figure SOMETHING out.

He’s protected. He’s got US government resources behind him. But our collective genius ought to be able to find his pressure points.

I do this daily, but on a much smaller scale. There’s got to be something we can do to move this son of a bitch. Something that will get his attention.

No way he should be able to get away with this.

BE it primary or general election, no one has been able to get to 30% against him. He’s as solid in his district as Charlie Rangel, or Maxine Waters are in theirs. Recall would be impossible.

As I said before the vote, Boehner is a coward and a bully. A coward to the Democrats, and a bully to his teammates.

And, were they to vote Boehner back as speaker, they would be guaranteed two more years of cowardice and bullying. And no surprise that the vote is hardly over before he begins bullying them again. But that is what most of them voted for.

Two more years wasted. They went through all that hard work to be elected to now sit on their thumbs, as the “crying Cheeto” squanders what they worked for.

I wouldn’t be surprised if their group cowardice results in the losing the senate, and most of their house majority. Because nobody respects cowards.

The *fact* that Boner and his ilk go after conservatives as much as the media and democrats, proves the collusion. I will remain GOP on the state record so I can vote in the caucuses, but I swear to God I will never give another penny to the GOP.

F’em.

Mr. Boehner, just goes to show that you should NEVER have been in that position. If you do not appoint those who are most capable of doing the best job for our nation you will have to account for that before God. Even the head of the executive branch knows to get people who are capable of destroying our nation into the right positions to do the most damage. Don’t you realize this is a war for the republic?

Since he is using his office to engage in petty conflicts, I am in favor of excommunicating him (and by extension any Catholics that work in his Speaker’s office).

The answer is easy. Those 25 should create their own caucus.

Take a chunk of 25 votes that Boehner will have to come begging to frequently and that’l stop that.
