Boehners opposition grew Tuesday morning just a few hours before the vote...
...At least 12 House Democrats will be in Manhattan attending Mario Cuomos funeral Tuesday in Manhattan. Another handful of Democrats are already planning to skip the vote, and that number could grow much larger, according to Democratic insiders. But every Democrat who skips the speaker vote helps lower the threshold for Boehner to be reelected.
Air travel is already slowed as well. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is holding aircraft at their destination until 10 a.m., and is experiencing delays of between 15 and 30 minutes for flights already in the air. GOP leadership has no plans to delay the vote, sources said...
Boehner has enough allies upwards of 100 who have privately vowed they will never vote for another candidate for speaker besides Boehner. That would make a so-called compromise candidate almost impossible to elect. Many of Boehners allies have said for months that they will keep voting for Boehner until the opposition subsides...

I've contacted this offices and said it was time for a change, and to support Louie Gohmert!
Politico tries to help Boehner so he can be an easy target for the Democrats. It’s in the tubes for them and readily figured out.
RINO’s voting for Bonehead is not a surprise.
What I will be watching are the GOP hacks who pretend to be conservatives. These fake conservatives will be exposed today.
And let the primary season begin!
I was never very optimistic....
Neither was I — but yesterday, I called my rep at both his local office and DC office and got through on the first ring. Told his toaddies that I wanted him to vote AGAINST Boner. I had high hopes for him. He was just elected to his second term — a supposed conservative and Iraq vet, but I heard this morning he was voting FOR Boner. I have voted Republican in every election. No more — I’m done.
Don’t take it personally. You were merely outbid.
(I agree with you)
Great post. I called mine earlier.
I’ve called and emailed my representative, however, I don’t have a lot of hope.
DONE!!
Remember when Pelosi allowed “moderate” Democrats to vote against Obamacare once she had enough of a margin to secure passage?
Part of me wonders if that’s what Boner and the other GOP elites are doing.
I don’t have much either, but God calls us not to results but to obedience. The end of the thing is in His hands...
Since Democrats can skip the vote and raise the threshold needed, they don’t have to go on record supporting Boehner and it permits some Republicans to oppose Boehner, yet still permit him to be selected.
If that is the ploy, it may become apparent if any of those who oppose him are still seated on committees.
There is expected to be blowback for the opposition if he is made whip.
GA FReepers: Latest word is Loudermilk and Hice are waffling and may vote Boehner. Call, fax, email, tweet and FB them please!
I was listening to Beck through an ear-bud as I walked the dogs, Chris Stewart called in and I embarrassed myself by loudly blurting an outrage before I caught myself. Chris Stewart sounded like a pathetic, little whining pansy! Sheesh! We’re so screwed.
So true.
This is 2011 all over again. Full of noise and fury, signifying nothing. But at least FreedomWorks will raise some cash off their lying emails: “We’re just 9 votes away from firing Boehner.” Idiots.
Bring on the lamp posts.
We are NOT called to win the battle, that is totally in God's hands; we are called to march around Jericho seven times, blowing the horns.
time to turn our backs on the GOP for real
All of them. It wont be a march. Itll be a battle.
