POLLSTER PAT CADDELL: ONE-THIRD OF GOP ‘HANGING BY A THREAD FROM BOLTING’
Breitbart ^ | January 5, 2015 | By Robert Wilde

Posted on 01/05/2015 3:36:24 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Fox News contributor and Democratic pollster Pat Caddell told Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon that up to one-third of Republicans are ready to call it quits as members of the GOP.

“The alienation among Republican voters is so high,” says Caddell, that conservatively “a quarter to one-third of the Republican party are hanging by a thread from bolting.” Caddell argues that GOP voters’ attitudes are “so anti-establishment,” and they give Republican leadership poor ratings.

The revelation comes on the heels of polling data supervised by Caddell Associates and reported on Friday by Breitbart News that a stupefying 60% of Republicans who voted in the November elections either definitely or probably want someone other than Ohio Congressman John Boehner to be the Speaker of the House.

Caddell, who sharpened his teeth as a political consultant and pollster for President Jimmy Carter in 1976, has developed a reputation for being a straight shooting analyst, often criticized by his own party for predicting negative outcomes for Democrats.

His latest poll shows that Republican voters are reaching a tipping point and may have had enough of GOP lawmakers’ feckless leadership and constant submission to President Obama’s policies.

A frequent guest on the Breitbart News Sunday Sirius XM Patriot radio program on channel 125, Caddell said that he will be releasing a new survey on Monday of 600 Republican identifiers or independents who voted Republican in November. In what Caddell refers to as a “stunner,” only 16% want “both” Boehner and imminent Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to be their leaders.

Moreover, according to the survey, two-thirds agreed with the statement that “John Boehner has been ineffective in opposing Obama.”

Switching to “independent” means you can’t participate in a primary, and will get twice the junk mail (from both camps).

I’m against both parties myself. It was turn I started making in a little over ten years as I found that both stunk and wanted the same failed policies. Used to be a republican but they left me. I support now third parties or people I like such as Michelle Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz and others, but every few because I can’t trust them and day by day they let us down. Now Trey Gowdy has been added to a list of traitors as has Justin Amash and Jason CHaffitz even Mia Love voted for Boehner. I can’t trust them anymore.

Even though I don’t agree with the foreign policy stances sometimes. If the Constitution Party would field candidates for congress and senate even if they keep losing, until a conservative party is formed, I would switch to them. As such, they don’t do much so I am staying republican just to vote in primaries as my state is with closed primaries. Even then, I write in names.

That ain’t it at all. The two parties have been in cahoots long before Obama. We were just unable to see what was being done as clearly till Bush’s last year. Then we noticed he was a fraud too.

“I am staying republican just to vote in primaries”

If there’s anything interesting going on in the Pub caucuses or primaries, I’ll make a temp switch back to Pub and then back to Libertarian afterwards. Can all be done online a few days beforehand.

About the only regret I have about never being a member of the gop faction of the uniparty is that as a result of never joining, I never had the opportunity to quit.

the 24,000 debate viewers represent approximately 1/3 of those voting in the last election

Exactly. The gop wing of the uniparty has already done the calculus: they don’t want or need working class Americans. They’d much rather have an alliance of crony capitalists and “replacement Americans” who are more pliant and are cheaper to buy off.

“24,000” .. excuse me it was 24,000,000 viewers in total .. and they couldn’t all be DemocRATS.

And .. the 1/3 “hanging by a thread” are all the GOP-e who are co-opting with the DemocRATS to take out the Conservatives.

And .. just what has Pat done lately that gives him any cred at all ..?????????????? I’ve never been able to figure that out. Along with Dick Schoen and Ed Rollins; I don’t see them winning at anything .. but always telling everybody else how to win ..????????????

Doesn’t work. Look at NY. The Conservative party got turned into a shell party that cross endorses RINOs on a regular basis.

Every time the GOP calls asking for more money, I tell them that I donate directly to candidates of my choosing... which I do. The GOP is now a fully functioning branch of the DNC Uniparty.
