Probably self-defense against an illegal anal cavity search. Law enforcement in that area deserves to be shot at.

Do a search for the words:

"albuquerque police anal cavity search"

The incidents you refer to occurred in Deming, in the far SW part of the state and indeed the police actions were despicable and far beyond legality. The departments if not the officers involved have been slapped with multimillion dollar lawsuits.

But with the amount of crime in ABQ (drugs, car theft, gangs, home invasions, DWI, etc.) it’s the other way around - It’s the perps who need to be removed from the streets. Saying it’s the cops who need to be shot at puts you in the same camp as the Ferguson and NYC protestors.

The Black Panthers started as one of many black self-defense organizations in Oakland - defense against the police. The very racist Oakland cops went into black areas, beat kids who didn't run away and shot those who did. Eventually the residents had enough and began sniping with rifles at OPD officers. That was a shining Second Amendment moment. It took Charlie Gains years as chief to restore discipline to the OPD.

Law enforcement cannot operate absent citizen support, and rightly become targets when they consistently abuse citizens. This is America. Police aren't the only guys with guns.
