So it’s come to this: On the weekend New York City buries another of its Finest, Detective Wenjian Liu, the focus is on the mayor — and whether police officers will again turn their backs on him.
NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton calls the gesture “inappropriate.” Peter King, the Republican congressman from Long Island, doesn’t like it either, but because it is “creating sympathy” for the mayor.
Even before the back-turnings, Cardinal Timothy Dolan was saying it’s “unfair and counterproductive to dismiss our mayor and other leaders as enemies of the police.”

The Catholic church backs no borders (the plan is eventually to have a “North American Citizenship”) and is part of a criminal enterprise to bring illegals into the U.S., house, clothe, feed, find them work, etc. once they are here. It’s a church growth strategy.
As far as politicians in a leadership position are concerned I would have expected De Blasio to be a little brighter and more diplomatic. But apparently having money and wisdom don’t go hand in hand.
That would be the US Conference of Catholic Bishops. The catechism and logic itself, not to mention US law all sate otherwise, regarding illegal immigration

Roy Richter, president of the NYPD Captains Endowment Association, has taken Bratton’s tact, encouraging cops to stick with “cold, steely silence” instead.

I also agree with post #1. Excellent idea, the refusal to enforce the cigarette tax. I really hope this idea is being considered by influential members of the NYPD. It will be one billion times more effective than simply turning their backs on the mayor (which they also should continue to do).

come now de Blasio is the epitome of a donkey’s backside but to say America is a whore just because some stupid mayor who has his head up Obama’s backside so far that he is navel gazing America is pretty harsh on all of America. I do not vote in New York City so essence I cannot control what happened in NYC’s election. But De Blasio will not step down willing, so there will take a massive tragedy for De Blasio to step aside. NYC has had a history of corrupt stupid mayors look at what with others in NY past the one goofball who fled Ny went to Europe and was arrested in Europe because of the carcicature of him - men like Boss Tweed and so forth.
