I wrote a major column in the early 1980’s about “gun safety” for several newspapers in No. Va and Baltimore, but never got a single critique/comment from the anti-gun lobby.
I advocated for a mandatory sale of a gunlock with any weapon bought. They cost $10.00 and I still have mine on my weapon 30 years later, and it works nicely.
Apparently “gun safety” was not one of their priorities during those past 3 decades which says more about their warped leftist priorities than any concern they may have about personal safety.

I advocated for a mandatory sale of a gunlock with any weapon bought. Then you are on the wrong website, FRiend. I thought FR was pro-freedom.
A weapon with a gunlock on it is absolutely useless in opposing deadly force, either from a criminal or a totalitarian government.

Don’t you know that a locked up gun is nothing more than a crowbar?
FOR GODS SAKE.

I advocated for a mandatory sale of a gunlock with any weapon bought. I advocate for a mandatory sale of a keyboardlock with any computing device bought.
