When Ohio teenager Josh Alcorn told his parents he wanted to live as a girl, that he felt trapped in his own body, his parents said they wouldn’t stand for that.
“We don’t support that, religiously,” his mother told CNN Wednesday, her voice breaking. “But we told him that we loved him unconditionally. We loved him no matter what. I loved my son. People need to know that I loved him. He was a good kid, a good boy.”
Crossing out the name “Josh,” the 17-year-old signed the name he wanted to be known as — “Leelah” — in a suicide note posted to Tumblr.
The note was programmed to publish after Alcorn’s death Sunday. The teenager was struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 71 around 2:15 a.m., about four miles from home in the tiny town of Kings Mills, northeast of Cincinnati.

The individuals afflicted with this mental condition (mental, because otherwise they are physically normal), never achieve true normalcy. After they have surgery, they remain disturbed and confused. Stark reality then sets in and they realize that the “change” hasn't cured their confusion. Now, they are out of options and become even more depressed and suicidal. Left to their own devices, LGBT individuals have become mainstream mental cases like so many others who now roam our streets and public corridors. Mental disorder cases in our society have become forced new age ‘normalcy.’
There is a mental disorder that makes you want to cut off your arms or legs; as the subject doesn’t feel that they should be a part of him.
Transgenderism is no less extreme.

Obviously, the parents will be blamed for this, not the serious mental illness of the child.
I actually know a “transgender” person and watched the whole thing transpire. She was always tomboyish but a nice, quiet person. I enjoyed riding jet skis on the lake with her. In her 20’s she announced that she was lesbian. I can’t say I was surprised, nobody was really but it weighed on her. We remained friends, I even accepted her girlfriends and worked hard to make sure nothing changed as far as our friendship.
After about a decade, she decided that she was really male and that she wanted to marry her girlfriend. My thought was, what a strange, jumbled up way of thinking, that a lesbian would want to be with a male. She went through with it, the testosterone treatments, breasts amputated. The “lower” thing apparently isn’t all that successful so that wasn’t done. Surprisingly, “she” stayed with her girlfriend and they did get “married,” in the backyard of “her” girlfriend’s parent’s house, some wacky Episcopalian priest officiating. I attended.
It was a boozy affair, large crowd, very alternative people as you can imagine. I left the party early in the evening, after walking in on the new “wife” of my longtime friend in a state of undress in a bathroom with another lesbian. They don’t take “marriage” seriously. I felt so bad, angry really, for my friend. I’ve come to realize now that “she” knew, that it’s really the expectation. They’re still together.
I haven’t been able to be a close friend for over a decade now. I run into them on odd occasion and am civil. I don’t drink like I once did so there’s just not that much interaction anymore. However, one somewhat drunken occasion a few years back, my old estranged friend admitted to me that “he” was mistaken for a gay male all the time and sort of liked it. I will never understand, though I tried.
Sad story; no “acceptance” or “education” is going to deceive the patient that there is anything “normal” about a deviant lifestyle or mental condition. Some drink/use drugs to avoid killing themselves more quickly.

How does a child know about gender? Presumably they have no knowledge of the other gender's parts. I know I didn't when I was a child. It was a matter of some interest to me at the time, I assure you.
I am sick of this stupidity. If you have a "y" chromosome, then every single cell of your body is male. There are no "female" cells in your system, ergo you are *NOT* a female, and NO POWER ON EARTH will make you into one.
You might as well claim to be a "Unicorn" or a "Dragon", for all the good it will do you. The first thing that needs to happen is that these people need to be set down and thoroughly disabused of the notion that they can every be anything different from what they are.

I have come to hate cell phones with an intense passion. Especially cell phones in the hands of my kids. Unfortunately most of them are too old for me to get away with taking them away from them.

Transgenderism is a mental disorder, and it needs to be treated as such. These people need help, not "tolerance", and letting them live their mental disorders out as normal is killing them.
I argue this topic from time to time, and I believe the numbers on transgender suicide are something like 50%-60%.
These people have serious mental issues, and they should be confined to a treatment facility until they can cope.

Psychology at one time was concerned with defining normal behavior based upon what was found to be the norm in the culture/society being observed. As well, psychology at one time identified societal and individual self-destructive behaviors as abnormal.
The Left has hijacked psychology and now psychology defines the norm as whatever happens to be politically correct regardless self-destruction.
