Once again, for the 13th year in a row, Fox News dominated the cable news industry in 2014. Lisa de Moraes of Deadline Hollywood writes:
As 2014 draws to a close, FNC celebrates its 13th consecutive year as the most-watched cable news network, though it too had its disappointments. In total day, FNC is down 4% in total viewers (1.05 million) and same percent in news demo viewers, though it finished laps ahead of its competition in both metrics.
FNC rings out the year ranked No. 4 among ad-supported basic cable networks in overall primetime audience, behind only ESPN, USA Network and TNT; it also ranks No. 4 in total. CNN and MSNBC are way back in the 20s and 30s.
Both competitors of Fox had terrible years. John Nolte writes on Breitbart:
According to Deadline, during the all-important primetime hours, CNN’s total viewers hit an all-time low. With the even more-important news demo (viewers aged 25-54) in primetime, CNN hit its second-lowest level ever. In total day viewers, CNN again collapsed to an all-time low in the news demo.
Zucker’s unspoken but obvious decision to turn CNN into a hard-left network obsessedwith race-baiting, identity politics, and heartless, mean-girl Palin-bashing mixed with Christian-bashing has backfired spectacularly.

We need more dead bodies!
Yeah I read yesterday on Deadline Hollyweird forum
13 year in row? boy CNN really suck in CEO offices right now
Be honest Jeff Zucker did same thing at NBC news turn Today show into TMZ show
He suck then he sucks now
These rating changes will convince the Leftists that run these networks that they aren’t far enough to the Left.
CNN.com is the fourth rated news service, with 95 million visitors per month, after Yahoo, Google and HuffPost. Fox is 6th at 65 million visitors.
Can’t understand the MSNBC low ratings.
Those endless prison programs and their frank interviews with homo murderers should be pulling the viewers in.
Maybe they flew into a black hole?
I like OAN....20 million viewers and climbing. Fox’s competition and if they keep going, well....there may be some squalling at Fox.
Imagine The Revrunt Sharpton Show being Joined by the Jesse Jacksome Show...on MSLSD!
what a ratings booster that would be....
Ratings of this sort matter less than most think.
These outfits aren’t there to pull in advertisers.
They live on subsidies for their value as political assets. Ratings are of course something of a requirement, they need some significant number of viewers, but the political message is more important.
Sort of like obammy, DeBlasio and John Boehner, they’ve lost me for good.
NOTHING they ever do will make me think well of them.
He gets "jerned", dammit!...people jern the revrunt...I say again, jerning him is the thing to do!
Jernin me now....(must be said in nasally, irritating, downright idiotic fashion.)
People jern the revrunt!
If DishTV doesn’t get back Fox News soon, I’m switching to Direct.
But first before you can jern, you have to be axed to jern, right? ;-)
I don’t know exactly how it works, but it seems to me those who advertise on these networks would be paying the lowest available Ad rates, due to the lowest ratings; if so, who has been paying the bills for so long?
Yes, they have a news channel on TV. I like it, and until they get 40 million viewers they have chosen not to have ADS. There are some musical and other interludes, but not cheap ads. They have 24/7 news, and only a few prerecorded shows.
