The suicide of a transgender teen is catching national attention in part because of a suicide note she left behind online.
Leelah Alcorn, 17, of Kings Mills, Ohio, was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer on I-71 about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to local media.
Posthumous posts started to appear on her Tumblr page, titled “Lazer Princess,” including her suicide note and a post apologizing to her closest friends.
“My death needs to mean something,” she wrote. “My death needs to be counted in the number of transgender people who commit suicide this year. I want someone to look at that number and say ‘that’s f---ed up’ and fix it. Fix society. Please.”
Alcorn's note explains that she has felt like a girl trapped in a boy’s body ever since she was 4. Then she cried tears of joy when she learned what transgender meant at 14.
“After 10 years of confusion I finally understood who I was,” the suicide note reads. “I immediately told my mom, and she reacted extremely negatively, telling me that it was a phase, that I would never truly be a girl, that God doesn’t make mistakes, that I am wrong.”

The root cause of many of these problems is the Public School System. Causing the little ones to stumble by teaching that perversity is normal and lawlessness is cool.

Well, it means your parents and friends lied to you about the choices you had in your life, and failed to get you into counseling for your Gender Identity Disorder. I was a fat child, was mercilessly picked on, and did not once think that killing myself “would show them all.”
It’s criminal that these poor mentally ill people are being denied the psychological treatment they so desperately need by a government intent to trying to declare their obvious mental issues perfectly normal.

Can someone explain to me why the defense for being a homosexual is “God made me this way, and He doesn’t make mistakes” while the defense for being a tranny is “God made a mistake and I (using someone else’s money) have to correct it”?

Oh, and one sarcastic comment: other then this instance, transgenderism is to be considered NORMAL and HEALTHY.
Exactly, but I feel this is the case for most active homosexuals of all ages.
Part of the problem is that our new “enlightened” culture keeps telling these people, effectively, that it is OK for them to feel and behave in an utterly sick and F’d up way, instead of acknowledging that they have problems that need to be treated by a professional. In short, politically correct culture is pretty much guaranteeing that a high percentage of these people end up living lives of confused misery, ultimately ending up suicidal. Why can’t these people realize that popular culture is a culture of death, and there is no shortage of bodies to prove it.
Its just awful what happened here but when it comes to sex and sexuality those who are alienated and may want to die could have something very dark in their past.
I read about a victim of the late British entertainer Jimmy Saville. Saville was accused by many victims who said they were abused as children. One such victim in their 50’s was described as “transgendered”.
I’ve read similar stories about LGBT people over the years with the child sex abuse in the background.
Its easy to get angry and political about all this like the militants and activists for and against do, but there’s a deeper story I believe that gets masked under all the political activism of the LGBT political movement and the controversy surrounding it.

From an evolutionary standpoint it means nothing, as you were already out of the gene pool.

And here we find the motive for suicide, to punish mom.
