I’ve got mixed emotions about that.
I believe the bill of rights placed restrictions on the feds
and the ugly 14th amendment “incorporated” them unto the states.
I wonder to myself; to myself, I wonder...
How come South Carolina recognizes my Georgia driver’s license
but they don’t recognize my Georgia concealed carry permit?
Why is that, I wonder to myself.

Well, for starters, a driver’s license is a “privilege,” and a CCW should be a “right” but the states don’t see it that way, and they will continue to do so until the SCOTUS ( you know that compilation of assorted turds and turdettes that pass for the stewards of our Constitution) finally come back from their manifold vacations and “interpret” the Second Amendment.
As far as your “mixed emotions” are concerned, I share them. But the 2A should not continue to be abused by the Blue States, so I was just postulating that the 2A should be given special legislation to put a “floor” under what any state can require as regards the use and carrying of firearms. I certainly would not want to see a Federal law that preempted a state like Arizona which has embraced Constitutional Carry, but I would like to see a law that stops my state (California) from denying recognition of all other states CCW laws, and beyond that assure our citizens who wish to carry a gun for protection, the unfettered means to do so.
SC is a real PITA on that one.
In a conservative state, with a conservative governor and Republican legislature it's hard to believe they haven't voted to recognize out of state carry permits. The NRA needs to lobby for that in 2015.
--unfortunately,the "full faith and credit " clause in the Constitution has not been applied to concealed weapons permits, leaving them the same as bar registration (lawyers), cosmetologist licensing, engineering registration, etc.,--
My cousin, living in SC, got a Utah CCW license to cover him in states that don’t recognize SC.
