Tropical forests are growing faster than scientists thought due to rising levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
A Nasa-led study has found that tropical forests are absorbing 1.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide every year as they photosynthesise and grow.
And this is far more than is absorbed by the vast areas of boreal forest that encircle the Arctic.
As emissions add more carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, forests worldwide are using it to grow faster.

But, for some reason, the greenies have never associated this result with their battle against greenhouse gasses.
I knew that from grammar school! Trees take in CO2 and exale O2 (oxygen) keeping th C (carbon) for growing itself.
DO we really need a study for this obvious fact?
In a further shocking development it has been discovered these CO2 absorbing plants give off oxygen.

Good gravy. I learned in middle school that plants take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen as part of the photosynthesis process.
I remember those days! We were supposed to enter Ice Age and it was all America’s fault.
...Oh, and the Alaskan Pipeline was supposed to give Americans cheap oil forever.
I would offer this insight....an environmentalist will go through college and graduate studies...possibly never taking a single class in solar studies or in Dendrology (study of trees). When a non-scientist/non-environmentalist gets into a discussion with these people (the degreed environmentalist).....you simply aren’t within their sphere of knowledge.
This is a general problem with the whole education offered to these people and why they are so limited in their abilities.

But, But... the EPA has characterized CO2 as “poison”. Who knew it was part of natural ecological and biochemical processes all along?
