It is interesting that a large segment of Islam (not the entirety) takes that quite far, to the point that nothing living can be depicted in their art.

The entire commandment read with context forbade the Hebrews from creating objects intending to make them into idols. The Temple itself was decorated with figures of lions and such. Nobody worshiped them, and the commandment was not violated thereby.

Well if God Himself intimidates you that is just too bad.

You have some believing to do.

Enjoy peace by His grace at appropriate seasons, move, suffer, but don’t “do as they do.”

You are trying to forge God’s promise, no can do, is taken by the Lord as act of high arrogance and consequences will be condign.

True, even the Ark of the Covenant was decorated with two ‘Winged Creatures’ on top!.................

I don’t know the writers definition of ‘verge’ is. I dislike the Muslim mind set (understatement). But I would not be happy with a large crucifix on my front lawn. A verge might be the area between sidewalk and road that is regulated by the town. I still wouldn’t want it in front of my house.

BTW we have multiple crucifixes IN our house.

What verse in the entire New Testament supports this... I am really curious.

It’s in Austria and laws about such matters doubtless differ from country to country and even within the same country.

It’s sad in one way, but will the Christian community respond with rage or with heart? Maybe God has said here, “I challenge you to believe with the same attitude that My Son did while on the actual Cross. If you can, if you do, I will bless.”

On an earthly plane we can see only one answer to hatred — slaughter whoever does it and laugh at its grave. Christ shows us a way to kill the hatred in ourselves and find, against all earthly thinking, the blessings of God in a special way when we do.

It was his property and I would have done the same thing. Do Freepers believe in property rights anymore?

I agree. Also when he bought the house he should have checked to see if there was a giant crucifix on his lawn.

I still wouldn’t put a giant crucifix on my front lawn. I have put up baby Jesus manger scenes in the past for Christmas. Lawn crosses are more of a cemetery thing to me and not how I want my house decorated.

You must be kidding?

Why, no. I'm not kidding at all. Muslims really are murdering, rapist scum. I never kid about scum.

It was on ‘The Verge’ whatever that is. Don’t know if it’s private property or not.

According to Islam, Muslims should respect the symbols of other religions, they said in a press release.

That probably was written early in the writings of the Moslems. I'm sure something written after it says to blow up things really good.

And white people are, and claimed Christians are... you can find it all if you look. Happily the majority of world Muslims are not that “activist” although the danger of sympathy and recruitment is constantly present.

Give God some credit for what His Holy Spirit yet does, Pot. As long as God does not give up on His love offensive then we do not have a right to do that either.

Take some time and actually read the koran and the surahs and know the truth about islam instead of what you think you from the media. It is pure evil.

Aw it’s so easy to get pulled into earthly views of things. It’s simple, it also is a recipe for restless warring.

But again this is one of my hobby horses. I try to exhort Christian Freepdom into a greater consciousness of the goodness and power of a Christianity they supposedly already have. Obviously that only can sell to Christians. If you’re not a Christian all I can do is urge you to believe. Then we can talk about what comes next.

Yes some will notice some superficial similarities to “liberalism” — but that only reveals liberalism for the counterfeit that it is. It quite often arrogates to do Christianity with no Christ, only with passing human passions, and a coherent constructive movement can never be had that way.

Will we win the battle of eternity in the flesh?

You appear to believe we will.

“BTW we have multiple crucifixes IN our house.”

We’re not Catholic but I have an old brass standing Crucifix that we keep on a French made Sacrament cabinet that is heavily carved and made in the 1880s.

If it’s his property, he can do whatever he wants with it. If I saw a Buddha on a property I was going to buy, I would buy the property for the express intent of getting rid of the Buddha!

If the community wants it “up” ... The community can purchase some community property for the express purpose of putting it up.
