Its not really a big shocker to say those serving in the military arent big fans of Barack Obama, but when you see just how much our men and women in uniform despise their Commander-In-Chief, it will simply blow your mind.
This is astounding, yet for some strange reason, very comforting.
From Weasel Zippers via Military Times:
The long-term effects of Obamas social policies on the military remain unknown. But one thing is clear: He is a deeper unpopular commander in chief among the troops.
According to a Military Times survey of almost 2,300 active-duty service members, Obamas popularity never high to begin with has crumbled, falling from 35 percent in 2009 to just 15 percent this year, while his disapproval ratings have increased to 55 percent from 40 percent over that time. So I guess completely disrespecting the military by attempting to cut their pay raises, not awarding them certain benefits they need to cover their medical bills, and preventing them from receiving adequate healthcare takes a negative toll on how they perceive leadership.
Who wouldve thought?
Obama has repeatedly slammed our armed forces and through his many lawless actions has proven hes not leadership material, nor does he possess qualities our troops can admire or look up to.
How can a man effectively lead the nations military if those under him dont like him or trust him?
The simple answer is he cant, which is why our foreign policy is a joke and our response to threats to our freedom and safety continue to go largely unchecked.
Lets hope the next occupant of the Oval Office is someone who respects, reveres, and loves our military and can effectively perform the duties of their office to keep America safe.
no one would like the one who is constantly kicking them in the balls laughing and planning to do it again and again.
the lesser of two evilsis that it is voting for evil.
Mr. Jeeves: "Well, you're getting Hillary or Jeb - so do banksters or Saudis like our military better? :) "
Can somebody, anybody, provide a listing of which if any potentially-potential Republican candidates for President have any military experience?
What about that new Senator from Iowa?
I like the way she talks...
I don’t think military experience should be a deciding factor for leadership in our republic... but respect for the military certainly should be. And an understanding of our history. No dem has either of those... and many repubs are also similarly lacking.
per my comment I understood the subject to be the US military and the troops dismal view of the obozo.
I thought as I was typing, “is it melanin or melatonin?”...looking things up is such a bore. Thanks for the correction, though!
Theoretically? Sure.
But the fact remains that our list of US Presidents with no military experience is short and undistinguished.
Indeed, I would delete John Adams, John Quincy Adams and Franklin Roosevelt from that list, since they all played important roles in wartime, before becoming President.
That makes the no-military experience list a rogues' gallery of undistinguished Presidents:
Sure, you can correctly argue that Harding & Coolidge were great for the Roaring Twenties, but then you'd have to claim that today's world more resembles the Twenties than any other decade.
And even if that were true (it's not) we can also recognize that failures in the Twenties lead to world-wide economic, political and military crises in the Thirties.
Surely we would not want to repeat that!
Bottom line: only nine of 44 Presidents had no effective military experience = 20%, and few of those had highly successful presidencies.
By contrast, 2/3 of our Presidents were former military officers, including nearly all of the most successful.
So who do we have today?
15% military support for Obama? Now we know how many gay people there are in the military.
