My question is who are the left going to get to protect them? Not the military! Not the police! who? How?
I read you. But I do not see county commissions and state legislators just sitting idly by and letting this happen.
Understood, but with the police it would put control under one head and negate the many areas where local cops/sheriffs would not be liable to follow the serious clamp down measures needed to control folks. Once the government's military (and that's pretty much what a nationalized police force would be) becomes the controlling entity, it's no-holds barred.
Good article - many here see a big Black man with a record and consider it to be open season on a thug - even unto death when the crime/resistance does not constitute a death penalty.
I don't see them managing a national gun ban w/o first having a nationalized enforcement agency on-hand. Too many local cops/sheriffs will not obey and might actually organize opposition.
Sure; the police policies would flow from Washington DC (as would the job referrals).
Marked. I hope you are right. I have noted that the full-time psy-ops against the People has been modifying some folks sense of a tipping point (when it becomes necessary for the People to take serious action) and I would put it at 50/50 whether or not the tipping point is perceived to have been reached while there is still time. There are a number right here on FR that have expressed support for anti-constitutional actions if the actions happen to assuage their own personal thoughts on justice - those being strong-armed by the government/police had it coming so any act that takes them down is fine by them. I am hopeful the People will speak up loud and long enough to reverse the trend, but I fear that those in power are already predisposed to sneering, paying lip service, and doubling down and the People will not risk taking action that "might not be necessary if only we can convince them that they need to reverse course and start following the Constitution"...I predict that, somewhere down the road, we succumb without ever mounting a serious movement. I pray I am wrong and you are right.
I sense though that I will be right, that THERE WILL BE a breaking point, and it WILL COME, mark my words. Not today or tomorrow, but it will COME.
