On December 20 the NAACP Legal Fund issued a press release saying the execution of NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos show “the need for sensible gun control.”

According to the release, we need also “need to thoughtfully address untreated mental illness.”

One thing the NAACP Legal Fund’s release said we don’t need to do is to “suggest a causal link between between these killings and the recent protests and activism focused on the serious issue of police violence against unarmed African Americans.” They suggest that pushing such a “causal link” may escalate “an already tense state through rumor and conjecture.”

In the case of the cop killer in Tarpon Springs, Florida today, the perp, with 30 arrests, bought his gun from “some guy” in Tampa. I’m sure “the guy” handled all the proper paperwork efficiently. /s

A husband and wife “almost” in my family (and may be in the near future), are serious liberals. My partner and I were in an auto accident a few months ago and we saw this couple a few weeks ago. The man who hit us was angry when he got out of his car.

The husband I am speaking of knew the man was angry, so when we saw him and his wife, he said, “See! If that man had a gun, he might have shot you! That is why NO ONE should have a gun.” He knows I own several weapons and he was baiting me, wanting me to get in an argument with him. I said NOTHING. His fevered, loud attack died with no response from me.

There is nothing a sensible person can say to a freaking liberal that will make any difference. The liberals I know are lethally attached to their beliefs and they want a fight. I refuse to do that.

I know they jump on every liberal wagon that comes along so I know they have no use for "cops" due to the deaths of the two black men (oh, sorry, one wasn't a "man", he was a little black teen ager about 6 ft. tall and over 200 lbs.) Luckily, I don't see these people more than once a year, so they can stew in their own liberal New York ivy league town.

The possession of a handgun in New York State is limited only to those individuals who hold a valid Pistol License and are in possession of a registered handgun (one that appears on the license, indicating the specific make, model, caliber and serial number of the handgun).

It is only valid outside of NYC. I cannot bring my registered weapon into NYC, if I do, I can be charged with felony possession and I will lose all of my 2nd Amendment rights thereafter.

It might be of interest to note that SWITZERLAND is not shown on the list of 100 most dangerous countries in the world, because it has almost NO murders!

But Switzerland's laws require that everyone must:

1. Own a gun.
