On December 20 the NAACP Legal Fund issued a press release saying the execution of NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos show “the need for sensible gun control.”
According to the release, we need also “need to thoughtfully address untreated mental illness.”
One thing the NAACP Legal Fund’s release said we don’t need to do is to “suggest a causal link between between these killings and the recent protests and activism focused on the serious issue of police violence against unarmed African Americans.” They suggest that pushing such a “causal link” may escalate “an already tense state through rumor and conjecture.”

I disagree. They want to disarm whites, who are more likely to be law-abiding possessors of guns. Blacks are more likely to possess an illegal firearm.
They are certainly pushing for it, and not too wisely. I wonder what it means in the Asian and Hispanic communities that the black criminal shot a member of each?
As a convicted felon he could not legally own, possess, or purchase any firearm anywhere in the US.
He was a known bad apple, but was on his normal “catch and release” cycle for his ongoing violent criminal activities.
They would blame it on all the states which haven’t nullified the Second Amendment. Bloomberg and his proxy groups are trying to “fix” that in those states.

The scumbag was a convicted felon, thus not supposed to own a gun in the first place BY LAW. And how did that work out? The bad guys don’t give a rat’s patoot about the law, they would find some way to procure a gun anyway. But the Left doubles down on stupid and punishes the law abiding citizens, as well as corrupt the culture to bleat “guns baaaaad” and cower at the sight of a partially eaten Pop Tart.
