Castro’s next demand will be reparations for the damage caused by the embargo.

How much money are the US tax payers going to fork over to Cuba to “modernize” it?

As we thought, 0bama is apologizing to the head communist by giving him a gift of millions of dollars, while allowing him to continue being a repressive money-grabbing communist.

prioritizing an end to the country’s dual-currency system

Hmmm. If they actually do that, they're done. I'm guessing if they give up dual currency, it's so they can do more commerce with the real world—in other words, they'll wind up with currency that is somehow convertible. But socialism can only survive on non-convertible currency, no? If money and goods become fungible between socialist home and the real world, stupid policies and lousy goods lose, and capital flies toward the better ones.

If they're talking this way, it's probably because they need to take that step or run out of capital altogether. And if they take that step, they'll collapse pretty soon thereafter. They're old; maybe they don't care. Maybe 0bama is hastening the end of Communism in Cuber. (I remember Kennedy's speeches. His accent was hilarious.)

***He emphasized that Cuba would accelerate its economic reform,***

50 years after the USA became a nation, we were an economic powerhouse!

50 years after the Cuban Revolution they still are trying to make “La Revol-o-o-o-ci-on” work!

Every place Obama has gone to and/or spoken about freedom and liberation has descended into chaos. Why would Cuba possibly let Obama start manipulating Cubans into out-of-control protests that only serve US global interests and Obama’s ego?

Raul Castro:

"Hey, we'll be happy to take all the American tax-payer funded goodies King Barack wants to send us. But as far as changing our system....kindly shove it up your Yanqui backsides!!" said the dictator er presidente of the Cuban people.
