U.S. Supreme Court on Friday refused to block gay marriages in Florida, the latest of about three dozen states allowing same-sex weddings.

In a one-paragraph order, the court decided not to intervene in Florida's same-sex marriage dispute.

"The application for stay presented to Justice Thomas and by him referred to the court is denied," Justice Clarence Thomas wrote.

Thomas and Scalia would have granted the stay. They alone were willing to stand for the 1st, 10th, and 14th amendment rights of Floridians.

And now in Florida we will see an onslaught of pro-homosexual propaganda in the media.

Fag marriage in FL is judge-made. FL voters approved a man/woman marriage constitutional amendment in 2008.

If this isn't tyranny, I don't know what is.

The 17th amendment enabled, if not guaranteed eventual outcomes like this.

Why are there so many queers in the media? This is a rhetorical question, but it's never far from the surface ...

We’re never going to be able to save the republic unless and until we get representatives and executives who are willing to tell lawless judges to go to hell.

“We’re never going to be able to save the republic unless and until we get representatives and executives who are willing to tell lawless judges to go to hell.”

The candidates are chosen by the political parties. The people chose between the candidates. We suffer from a two party system in which the candidates are beholden to the financial interests who pay for campaigns. The people, who are corrupted by government money and the loss of common culture, vote for whichever candidate they believe will provide them some crumbs from the table once the financial interests are satisfied.

The recent budget vote is proof. The financial interests bought and paid for the Republican Party, and a few Democrat representatives, to roll back Dodd Frank in order to allow the banks to engage in speculative derivatives trading with the US Treasury bankrolling them in the event of losses. In return both parties got a tenfold increase in allowable campaign contributions per donor. Powerful representatives got pork for their districts. Elizabeth Warren got a soapbox for her rants in order to enhance her name awareness for 2016. Conservatives who voted for the GOP expecting repeal of Obamacare, sound fiscal policy, or no amnesty got less than a crumb, they got punched in the face and laughed at. Once again conservative voters delivered the numbers required for GOP victory and came up empty handed while the forces they campaigned against went home happy.

Neither political party respects the Constitution, the concept of individual liberty, or conservative voters. They respect money and power. Conservatives offer neither. Rank and file conservative voter contributions to GOP campaigns are overwhelmed by special interest money. For politicians who crave power and dominion over others the concept of free choice and individual liberty is intolerable. Hence, both parties are unified in the goal of fragmenting and neutralizing the vote of what remains of the conservative middle class. Amnesty, and open borders, is an effective ploy by both parties to dilute the conservative vote to the point it doesn’t matter.

The GOP elite has put enough roadblocks in place to keep conservatives from taking over the party. The only way conservatives can exercise political power at this point in our history is to form a third party with sufficient financial backing and leadership to force coalition government in Congress such as exists in many parliamentary regimes. From there grow to become dominant or die with the Republic. It is the last chance absent a successful Article V effort.

If name conservatives - Cruz, Lee, Walker, Tim Scott, Alan West, Sarah Palin — combined with several dozen Congressmen, and a few governors to bolt the GOP and form a third party many of the rank and file conservative voters, as well as local politicians, would follow them. Within two or three election cycles they could be extremely competitive, assuming financial backing from small business, energized individual voters, and a few billionaires.

Trying to reform the GOP from within is a losing game. It is like joining the mafia, or a drug gang, and trying to rise to the top of the organization to change it. There is no way to rise to the top of a corrupt organization without becoming corrupted. One need only look at Mitch McConnell and John Boehner to see how Mr. Smith goes to Washington and becomes an empty soul.

The situation is even worse than you posit. Even the “good guys” that you list as possibly representing a hope have failed to discern the true source of the problem. Therefore they are not equipped to solve the problem.
