#7 – Rita Coolidge: “We’re All Alone”

It was a shock for me to discover that Boz Scaggs wrote this song because I didn’t think him capable of such melodic invention. His own recording is decent, but it doesn’t approach what a great singer could do with a song like this. This is his masterpiece.
