Ben Carson, on his first visit here, tells Post he is not sure that a Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria makes sense, and that Israeli settlement construction is blown out of proportion.
Retired neurosurgeon and aspiring US politician Ben Carson could walk down the streets of Jerusalem, shout at the top of his lungs I am Ben Carson, and almost no one would know who he is.
At least not yet.
But that could change very quickly as the 2016 US presidential campaign picks up speed, and Carson gains traction.
And if recent polls are any indication, the 63-yearold Detroit native who rose from a tough inner-city childhood to become director of neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins and the first doctor to successfully separate twins conjoined at the head is already starting to pick up traction.
A Public Policy Polling survey this week in North Carolina found that GOP voters in that state ranked Carson yes, Carson as their top pick among nine potential GOP candidates.

Go away Carson. Go stroke your ego elsewhere. The battle to recover the United States of America is not the place for your vanity candidacy.
Because all this criticism of Ted Cruz scares us! We want to be liked and popular with the cool kids.
The GOP ran a black man, Tim Scott, for Senator. He won. Ben Carson is the most popular candidate in South Carolina for the GOP nomination for President.
I guess those “white racists” in South Carolina are color blind. They did not notice that Tim Scott and Ben Carson are black.
The divisions in the South are political and not racial. We got over it a long time ago.
PS
Institutional Racism was a product of the Democrat Party and not the Republican Party. President Abraham Lincoln was a Republican. The Civil Rights Act was passed mostly by Republicans with fierce opposition from the Democrat Party of the South. President Dwight Eisenhower used the National Guard to integrate schools in the South. He was a Republican. Lyndon Baines Johnson created the “War on Poverty” which has been the greatest destroyer of Black Families and white also. He was a Democrat.
I read the entire article.
What is the Egyptian solution?
Egypt doesn’t want anything to do with the Palestinians for good reason. Neither does anyone else in the region.
Still not sure who Carson is underneath. Sure he’s bright, and seems to verbalize some conservative ideas.
I don’t think we know how he would behave, as a political leader, in response to the tremendous conflict in our nation between liberty and tyranny.

You mean beside the fact that he love this country?
And he's not only a brain surgeon, but HE HAS A BRAIN?
He came up the hard way - knows what it's like "out here" -
He's not Harvard indoctrinated/compromised (Yale isn't quite as bad)- and with medical studies, probably wasn't targeted/tracked/investigated by elites in the world of power. (for future blackmailing)
think I'd trust him to be able to come up to speed where needed...and wouldn't need teleprompters and ear micros to know what to say.
Having a man of the people might not be a bad thing for the drivers seat.
Of course, the current pres_ent has probably spoiled it for another black pres. anytime soon. People will be wary.
Who should our candidate be?
BINGO
He’s playing the George Romney role - was never a real candidate - just out there in the herd to generate discussion - a helpful role.
Simply not ready for prime time.
I don’t know about the “Overtures” Egypt may have made about accepting the Palestinians but I don’t see it happening. Egypt has plenty of problems of their own and the Palestinians don’t seem to be in any rush to leave. They sure as hell aren’t going to simply walk away from the dome of the rock.
See #22.
I knew I didn’t like him on life, marriage, guns and borders, but that’s a new one. Got a link?
Recent health issues have required that I carry appropriate documents in my walletand it's getting bulky. Advising TSA what metals have been added to my body would justify a chip (for me).
