I have a Nephew who is head of the crime lab in a Southern state.
I once asked him if having to work with bodies bothered him. to my surprise he said no with one exception.
A woman had killed her children. He said that one got to him. I can imagine that it would.
My youngest daughter worked as an embalmer and says same thing
“A woman had killed her children. He said that one got to him. I can imagine that it would.”
Yes. I have a friend that’s a mortician. He said the same thing. Working with children is what really gets to him.
I used to work on the highways. Sometimes I would be called to assist at scenes of accidents. I remember seeing a grizzled old Highway Patrolman crying as he wrote his report of an accident that killed a baby.
Over the years I’ve seen more than a few dead adults. They don’t bother me but the kids have never left me. I guess I’m just not as tough as I’d like to make people think.
