Brittany Noble-Jones, a reporter at KMOV in St. Louis, tweets that the Big Lots retail store in Ferguson, Missouri, is shutting down. While the corporate office won’t comment on whether the closure is related to the post-Ferguson riots and protests, other small businesses have told Noble-Jones that they are “feeling the pinch.”
Way to go, social justice mob.

Inside information says they are working on closing 410 stores. If you own stock, sell now.
They are not ordering as much as they did and sources say it is because of under-performing stores, the Obama economy, where even poor people have less, not to mention those who work.
They claimed, in their latest financial statements that they earned $.01 per share over the expectations, inside info says they are either lying or shifting costs around.
Those on the inside exercised their options then sold them for a decent profit. Now, they have to make it look like the company is doing well, except for some stores that are stressed. If they fail in covering up the inevitable they may be subject to scrutiny.

They know not to partner with a bully who will reap the rewards of your hard labor and not appreciate them or their efforts at all. Plus they get paid last.
Another thing; if anybody here has legacy stock in Sears/KMart consider selling, if it has not been repurchased already. Sears will be a thing of the past within a couple of years.

Its a recession. Anywhere you go you will find many empty stores. Look in your own town.
