Finally. That slogan always rubbed me the wrong way. Kinda made me think of the welcome wagon showing up. More like a global force for kickin' some butt and sinking your ship. In a kinder gentler way of course.

“Global force for ‘good’”...

I always hated that slogan, because that term “good” is subject to broad interpretation when America is ruled by regime like this one.

“Global reach” would have worked for me.

I never like “Global Force” as that sounds like some NWO-sy.

If I can have some tinfoil.

I guess I’m one of the few that liked it. There’s been so much anti military propaganda over the last fifty years that I thought it countered that at least a little bit.

THat slogan sounds more appropriate for the Peace Corp, not a military force.

“To get to you, they’d have to get by us: America’s Navy.”

"Or just come across a wide open southern border."

Good! For some reason that slogan annoyed me!

Someone smarter than me said, “The purpose of the MILITARY is to kill people and break things.”
Terrible to say, but today’s anti-military propaganda is coming from people who would have rioted in 1945/45 against the USAAF bombing German and Japanese cities.
The same people are those prone to blame ALL of the world’s troubles and ills on the U.S.A.

Amen. I always liked the old “Join the Navy and see the world”. (Especially with the tagline added “Meet interesting people and blow the crap out of them”)

Yeah, that one and the advert that ends with “and fairness for all.”. I mean WTF? It’s been a long time but when I was in the Navy it’s goal was to sink ships, submarines, and blow up stuff on land. Fairness for all my a$$.
