Someone smarter than me said, “The purpose of the MILITARY is to kill people and break things.”
Terrible to say, but today’s anti-military propaganda is coming from people who would have rioted in 1945/45 against the USAAF bombing German and Japanese cities.
The same people are those prone to blame ALL of the world’s troubles and ills on the U.S.A.

The problem is that the viewpoint of those who would have rioted in 1945/45 against the USAAF bombing German and Japanese cities has become the Zeitgeist for public schools, Hollywood, and academia.

The purpose of the MILITARY is to kill people and break things.

There are certain contexts, and conversation where that saying is useful, but in most, it is nonsense, the military is so much more than a dumb club, to kill people with.

Two good examples of that is our Navy, and Army Special Forces, both are used to help win hearts and minds and many other missions, including humanitarian.

Yes, “The purpose of the Military is to KILL PEOPLE and BREAK THINGS”.

I believe Rush Limbaugh is one of those who uses that phrase .. along with me.

Most of my family agrees with me.

And .. why doesn’t the Navy have a contest and let the members of the Navy choose something better that the current slop.
