I agree. But he isn't. Nor are any of the others. Elizabeth Warren will own the issue if someone on our side doesn't step forward.
American memories are short. Campaign cycles are long. In a full-fledged campaign, Rand Paul will make the case at the right time, as he has street cred on this issue. If he tried to make it now, it would be on page B14, behind pages on Sony/North Korea, Michelle's attempt at being a clerk, Cuba and who knows what else.
If Trump, or any one, wants to try to bring attention to the Fed, there is no need to run for office to do it. The right high profile persona can probably force the other candidates to weigh in on it at the right time. I'd rather see the new Republican Congress at least run an audit BEFORE the next campaign cycle, despite the fact that it might blow the doors off of our fiat money, and cause more short term problems.

Trump? I dunno...I'd love to see a Cruz/Pence or a Cruz/West ticket.

Trump is a showman who understands the value of
free publicity. The next season of his reality show Celebrity Apprentice begins in 17 days.
So once again Trump is going for the free publicity by promoting the idea that he is considering running for President. Nobody who understands politics believes that for a minute. But that isn't what's important. The only thing that counts, for Trump, is getting free publicity.
And here it is. Another story keeping his name in the news. That's all it's about.
