I learned about a new liberal outrage: "spatial injustice". All this demonstrates is that even in an atmosphere where the government can get away with the seizure of wealth it doesn't really do much of a job of distributing it. It certainly does do a bang-up job of distributing the blame, though.

Wading through the usual ideological muck of the Guardian commentators, one marvels at the level of desperate clutching at the straw of socialism in this tidal wave of poverty. Capitalism needn't be ended. What would benefit these people the most would be the ending of progressive fascism. And that's not likely.
