Court turns down Arizona on immigrant issue

Over the dissents of three Justices, the Supreme Court today rejected Arizona’s request to allow it to deny driver’s licenses to young undocumented immigrants who have been permitted by Obama administration policy to remain in the United States. In a brief order, the Court refused to block a temporary ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit requiring the state to issue driver’s licenses to the so-called “Dreamers” — young adults who came to this country illegally — if they have permits allowing them to have jobs here.

Answer is simple. Arizona should simply go ahead and deny the driver’s licenses anywise. FedGov has no say in state driver’s license. Simply follow the Constitution, instead of some court’s illegal ruling.

Good idea on the one hand on the other, this may be another
attempt at goading a state into defying a federal mandate
so they can set an example. That example is the complete federal
takeover of a state. Give them a reason to do it and I’ll
bet 3 to 1 they would get away with it.

I’m just curious; how would a Fed takeover of a State play out?

“WETBACK” in red at the top on front or AKA and whatever
assumed name the criminal alien is using. That’s the problem
with wetbacks, you really don’t know who they are or where
they came from. Sorta like the Obama, from unknown origin.

Being in this country illegally and legally, by mandate,
being granted the “Privilege” to drive on our public roads
is a special right and privilege granted explicitly for
breaking the law. Only a criminal traitor would judge this
constitutional.

No way. The FedGov will not be "completely taking over" any state. They may try cutting off highway funding, Medicare funding, etc. But FedGov knows that if they actually "take over" a state such as you're proposing, that they WILL have a shooting war on their hands. And they're not ready for that yet.

What else would they do if a state tells the Federal
Government to go spoon a goose. They would walk right in with the national guard and arrest the sitting state
government leaders who opposed them and appoint
temporary leadership. Honestly, at this point in time and
with this administration, do you think the Feds would balk?
And do you think that this SCOTUS with Roberts at the helm
would find any of it unconstitutional.

If wetbacks can get state drivers licenses from a federal
mandate why can’t the same feds invade
and takeover a state government? All laws are enforced at the point of
a gun and that gun starts with the police and ,technically, can end
with nuclear devices. The down side being that there is no
law or limit our government has that will stop it from
using its full force against the American people if it
feels justified in doing so. So, how it would play out?
Just use your imagination.

I wouldn’t be so sure of that. For all intents and
practicality, we should be on the verge of that right
now but we’re not. Besides, how do you know that a
shooting war is not what the regime wants? And do you think any state
other than Texas would be ready and willing to side with
Arizona?
