The Ruble’s Fall and Mr. Putin’s Reckoning
NYT ^ | 16 Dec 14 | OP ED

Posted on 12/17/2014 12:35:04 AM PST by elhombrelibre

Russians are watching their country suffer another avoidable economic calamity. The blame for this rests largely with the disastrous policies of President Vladimir Putin, who has consistently put his ego, his territorial ambitions and the financial interests of his cronies ahead of the needs of his country. ........................................................

Long before he annexed the Crimean peninsula and began backing pro-Russian forces in eastern Ukraine, Mr. Putin created an economic system that allowed a coterie of insiders to grow wealthy on Russia’s vast oil and gas reserves. He did little to diversify the economy or to make it more resilient.

Now Russian officials have to make difficult choices, none of which are good. As the ruble has collapsed, many individuals and businesses have been trying to take money out of the country or spend it; the International Monetary Fund estimated in October that about $100 billion could leave Russia by the end of the year.

I just can't get over the sad looking pathetic horse that looks like the one they assign to the children, and Putin's obvious unease.

I would recommend that Putin get a hat as well as a shirt before he suffers third-degree burns on his pate.

He either needs bigger stirrups or smaller, thinner boots and he should certainly get his feet off the "dashboard" and get properly balanced. I have no idea why is hanging back on the poor beast's mouth going uphill at a walk.

Finally, you are right, lose the children's pony and find a man-sized horse who can navigate the mountains.

That thing about Putin and the sun really gets me.

He fishes shirtless, hunts shirtless, rides shirtless, and almost always hat less, but he never tans or burns, or shows signs of sun exposure.

His clothes never get dirty and never get wet, even when he is holding his trophy trout that he just pulled in.

Here is man whose clothes fit what he is doing in the photo.

This all just proves that Rockefeller/Rothschild elites control commodities markets.

They’re obviously pushing down the price of oil -even though in the long run they want the price high to squash the American middle class and poor - they’re willing to drop the price for a short time to enable them to take over Ukraine and fold it into the EU.

All this anti-Russian and anti-Putin talk - materialized out of nowhere on FR, other than the occasional murmur, since the cold war is long over.

But now that the elites want Ukraine, we’re fanning the old flames, as if the “great Russian bear” is some sort of threat to America in the current day, which is laughable.

Most Americans and Russians are sick of their own politicians and corrupt elites, and see no reason why Ukraine must be folded into the EU.

Yeah, huge difference, and Reagan was older in this picture and didn't have to take the shirt off to feign manliness.

Interestingly, the Rothschild/Jewish conspiracy theory is gaining currency in Germany. It is becoming fashionable here to blame America for overreach resulting in an understandable reaction around the world. Most of this is grounded in the visceral German reaction against America's Iraq war and the sequelae of that war have understandably only confirmed the Germans in their judgment. The result, it is now easy to blame everything on America.

Quite apart from Germany, you do raise the question what is the essential national interest of the United States in the situation concerning Ukraine? Do we need to defend Ukraine in order to hold NATO together? To hold the Baltic states free of Russian intrusion? To protect Poland? might there be a domino effect in the Balkans?

Do we have interests in The Black Sea? Are we driving Russia into the arms of the Chinese? Are we driving the Russians into helping the Iranians get the bomb? Are we incentivizing the Russians to make mischief in the entire Muslim world? If so, for what?

Where have we thought through our national interests, certainly not in the White House.

So the Jews control the Saudis and OPEC production in theory?

depressed oil prices were a leading cause of the demise of the Soviet Union

Combined with them allowing their oil production rates to fall by a 1/3 at the same time greatly compounded that effect.

I guess that is the inevitable (ill) logical conclusion of the premise. What fascinates me in talking to neighbors is that virtually any improbable condition will be accepted so long as it leads to America's fault.

We have the same problem on FReeRepublic now with a small group of people. It used to be the domain of the Left to always blame the USA. As for Germany and much of Europe, the far Left and far Right always hated bourgeois democracy and representative government.

The Rothschilds who are among the globalist financial elites (as opposed to people whose last name happens to be Rothschild!) are not Jews in any religious sense.

Rockefellers started out as nominally Baptists; then they founded “Riverside” Church in NYC. But they are not Christians in truth, since they oppose Biblical doctrine quite adamantly.

The elites’ god is power and money.

They will gladly use others of their name ethnic or national background as tools - they see EVERYONE else other than themselves as sheeple for them to control, enslave and ultimately kill at their whim.

The Rockefeller “establishment” controls America on behalf of their London-based elite buddies. There are many other American dynastic families in their orbit.

The 1913 income tax and US central banking was passed at their behest “in the nick of time” to enable America to fund a good deal of WWI.

Those institutions sealed the control over America.

World opium trade has been controlled by this London-NYC axis of these elite financiers for centuries, which have dealt in gold, slaves and drugs all along.

The London-NYC elites - and their forebearers - have always been at the forefront of the espionage trade.

These financial elites are able to control wars by being at the top of the espionage field. In America, the Skull and Bones fraternity, founded by the opium-trading Russell family, sits atop US intelligence, running it for the elites. The financial elites similarly are at the forefront of all intelligence agencies in basically every country that matters, whether it be through direct control or “very good” connections.

Since these financial elites have so many financial resources - both legitimate and in criminal enterprises - their influence in world affairs is unparalleled.

The Bushes, the Clintons - virtually all US political power - is all quietly behind the scenes reporting up to these “globalist” financial elites. The elites ARE Wall Street, thus they control - through having like-minded “minions” on boards of directors - Hollyweird studios, the news media, education, the medical industry, etc., etc. They of course do not exercise their control in silly minute ways; they don’t have to since political, educational, economic, etc., systems they have put in place run themselves on a day-to-day basis. The elites don’t waste their time with the “small stuff”, but simply here and there make decisions regarding overall strategy, and the occassional “well-placed” war, revolution or assassination. This is why we have the “green energy” movement, the drug legalization movement, etc. The elites literally spend most of their time running tax-exempt foundations that were well-endowed by their financial elite forebearers; that’s where their hokey “movements” eminate from.

Ever since oil was discovered in the middle east, yes, the London/Rockefeller interests did their thing - they signed up local puppet ruling families to rule over the sheeple of the area and facilitate the extraction of the oil and its entry into the elites’ “work markets” system. Of course, standard operating procedure for the elites includes the creation of “intelligence services” in their puppet countries, which “form the right relationships” with the elites other espionage minions in other countries. So yes, all governments in the middle east have these “backdoor” relationships that form their real foundation. If there are big problems, a “minion” will be dispatched to help resolve the issues. A great example is when “special envoy” Frank Wisner (the son, no less - these sensitive intelligence jobs tend to be inherited as that helps to promote loyalty) was sent to Egypt to advise Mubarak that the elites had decided to renege on his lifetime job as ruler of Egypt on their behalf.

As far as invidual OPEC puppet governments not liking the current low price of crude oil, they are simply told they will have to suck it up for a while and just deal, since the elite globalists have this operation going that needs the price of oil to be very low to strain Russia’s economy while it also props up the economies of the EU nations. It’s politically difficult for any Russian leader to support handing over Ukraine to the EU, just as it’s politically difficult to get Europeans and Ukrainians to care much about annexing Ukraine onto the EU.

Of course, once again, this is not about “Jews”, as Jews, like everyone else, are viewed by the financial elites as sheeple.

You might study the history of wealth and power in the UK to get a better handle on the globalist financial elites. You’ll find the aristocracy a mix of different European, British, Jewish and middle eastern and other backgrounds, as are the truly wealthy and powerful UK citizens who are not peers. They are “equal opportunity”, “non-discriminatory” elitists: anyone can join up if they really want to completely give in to being worldly and rejecting Jesus Christ.

If there was ever a nation desperately in need of talk radio it is Germany. Consider Germany to be a nation of Jonathan Grubers who disdain America as lowbrow. George Bush was unibrow.

Perhaps it came in the wake of the Hitler time when Germany as a nation, I believe, took the wrong lesson from the Nazis. The American idea, at least the conservative American idea, is that the best antidote for false speech is more free speech. The last thing you want is the government to decide which speech is right and which speech is false. Germany has taken the view both officially when it comes to mentioning the Holocaust and unofficially as a society when it comes to certain shibboleths like global warming or fracking that there simply is no acceptable opposing position.

My daughter of 14 years of age is just been turned into a vegetarian by a school film. Her teacher told stories of rats being cooked in tomato vats and now she will not eat ketchup. It goes on across the board but there is no contrary view offered here as one can reach so easily in America by the turn of a radio dial.

I’m not “blaming the USA”, per se, since the US government was essentially hijacked over a century ago.

Since then the American people have had nothing to do with what the US government, under control of a criminal elite, does.

AND the same situation exists in the UK and Europe. And Russia. And China. And pretty much every nation.

Governments are far more corrupt than most people imagine.

A few wealthy powerful war-criminal, drug-lord types, posing as “pillars of the community”, are calling the shots.

Worldwide, it’s basically those elites against the sheeple.

First, government schools will destroy children that attend them - a word to the wise is sufficient, get out.

The “German people” were just like Americans today and citizens of every other nations - kept in the dark and fed lies.

After enough repitition, some people will start to actually believe the lies. But not everyone will.

Who manufactured these lies ?

A few elite capitalist types placed Hitler in power. Sullivan and Cromwell, the law American firm, had one of their lawyers at the meeting - Allen Dulles.

The German people got relief from the Depression when Hitler came to power - and his financial backers financed the building of warmaking industry in Germany. Suddenly there were jobs and there was relative prosperity as they elite-financed war buildup began.

Americans are in the same boat now, beset by a Depression, paying oppressive taxes on a fraudulent national debt.

Look at how Obama came to power - he was placed there by elites. The only alternative was McCain and then Romney - who are also minions of the elites.

It’s a false choice, not a real election.

It’s the illusion of “having a say”.

And then pundits and intellectuals (educated in the elites’ schools and largely working in the elites’ media establishment) BLAME the American PEOPLE for the election outcome.

Where the American people “as a nation” are at fault is in rejection of Jesus Christ, rejection of God and his Law Word, the Bible.

They fornicate, the profane the Christian Sabbath, they celebrate their own made-up holidays and pretend that these holidays are commanded by God when they ARE NOT; we have no respect for life. In these and many other ways many - not all - Americans are rejecting God and his annointed, Jesus Christ.

We can therefore expect temporal judgement, chastisement from God. We can expect that he will give us what we ask for. We ask for a “secular” nation that embraces “all” religions, even those the Bible condemns, even atheism and Satanic religions. We oppose God as a nation.

God protects his children during such chastising temporal judgements, so faithful Christians have nothing to fear from national temporal judgement. I pray that God either brings spiritual revival or judges America, according to his will.
