If you had to choose: Jeb Bush or Chris Christie as nominee? (Allahpundit relishing the trolling)

I asked this on Twitter and naturally 50 people instantly responded “SMOD.” Sorry, we’re not that lucky. With Jeb in the race, Christie very likely to get in, and Romney and Rubio now likely to pass, the field of loud-and-proud centrists appears to be set at two. And since the donor class loves centrists and the donor class tends to get its way in presidential primaries, that means one of these two guys is likely to be nominee. If it comes to that, whom do you prefer? And before you say “I’ll stay home,” let me note: (1) conservatives say that every time a moderate lands the nomination and every time they end up turning out for him in the general, and (2) I’m not asking whether you’ll vote for either of them. I’m asking who you’d rather see as president. Jeb, right? Bush has been louder than Christie has in pushing immigration reform but we’ll all be shocked if Christie is any less of a RINO on amnesty in practice than Jeb is. Meanwhile, Jeb at least is well regarded by the NRA; Christie’s relationship with the NRA is more contentious. But then, if you’re worried about electability, Christie has none of the baggage that comes with the Bush name. And Ben Shapiro is right that Jeb is more closely identified with amnesty among voters who pay attention, even if he and Christie doubtless share many of the same positions on the issue:

Not sure if Allahpundit is happy or sad with Dauphin Bush's Facebook announcement. With Dauphin in that probably knocks out Willard and Rubio. So I guess to keep the trolling going Allahpundit has thrown this question out. If given a choice between Duaphin Bush and Dunkin Donuts Christie I am gong for the PIAPS. If you have the Dauphin now elevated to Bush III or Christie that person would become the leader of the GOP and just like Bush II did cram down "Compassionate Conservative" domestic policy down the GOP throats. With the PIAPS, no GOP member of Congress would feel compelled to support her out of some loyalty to the party.

Allahpundit needs to learn how to ask a simple question and how to not bias the answers.

If I HAD to vote for one of them to save the life of someone I love, it would have to be Bush. All other things being equal, I think he was a far better governor than Fatso has been, and at least he hasn’t been seen hugging 0bama. Yet.

I did not vote for Romney or Ed Gillespie, and I will not vote for Christie or Bush III.

Rino’s (i.e. omnibus) are disgusting, and I will not have any of them!

If I had a gun to my head, I’d pick Jeb since he didn’t bring his state to the verge of bankruptcy. is pro life and 2nd amendment (I think), and didn’t support Obama’s reelection. I will not be voting for either, however.

Uh, would I rather be hit by a train or a bus?

The real question is, how can we make it politically profitable for WHOEVER is in there to do the right thing?

Politics and government is just like anything else. It’s people competing for a profit. In this case its politicians competing with other politicians for your vote. The issue is what is politically profitable for them. The wrong people will do the right thing if it is politically profitable to do the right thing.

When Moveon endorsed for Warren last week, my estimate of Hillary being nominee racheted down several notches.
