Gaffer, when you see that many posts taking you to task, it’s time to admit that you may have misspoken. The onus isn’t on the post-reader to understand it for the poster. The poster must be clear in what he wants to present or suffer the slings and arrows of righteous indignation.
I recommend clarifying your comments and not taking the criticism too personally.

Oh horse puckey. I understood him upon first reading to mean Boner and McChinless and the rest of the bozos in Congress — not Cruz.
But then, like most freepers, I am blessed with enough intelligence to read for meaning and actually, like, follow a thread.
Maybe you should practice that and see what happens.

Your statement that “he still needs a spine” was most likely referring to your hypothetical man “in order for one” in the first half of the quote... but when you use a vague pronoun “He”, it is quite easy to interpret that as directed towards the person named in the title of the thread.
I don’t think that was your intent, but your wording... could have been a lot better.

The implication is that you were saying that Ted Cruz needed a spine to hang his balls from.

NOTHING I have ever posted has been critical of Ted Cruz. Why in this case would anyone assume I actually thought what you mistakenly inferred?

I didn’t realize you were the be-all and end-all of thread interpreters.
Had I intended to convey my distaste for Cruz, I probably would have reply to the thread first-post instead of the general context of “Congress” in post #2. I gave my explanation - deal with it.
The vast majority of Freepers pulled the lever for Romney and McCain, and will do the same for whichever RINO is nominated in 2016.

Not this FReeper! Not again; not State, local, or federal. Any vote for a GOP candidate, outside of the likes of Cruz, directly or indirectly supports the eGOP. I won’t be doing that anymore.
Pretty clear neither one of them is the type to do that. They're just going to keep flinging feces like feral monkeys in a cage. See you on a less-polluted thread.
