The usual suspects are attacking Ted Cruz for doing his job.
Republicans and a chorus of conservative commentators are dumping on the sole conservative Republican senator from Texas becausethe horror!he dared to force his Senate colleagues to publicly take sides on President Obama's shameful extralegal unilateral immigration amnesty.
Apologists for Republican cowardice claim to be upset with Cruz because, as they claim, his parliamentary maneuvers to stymie the amnesty somehow allowed some objectionable Obama nominees to move forward in the confirmation process.
Of course, they're lying. All Obama nominees are objectionableremember, our president is a red diaper babyyet the Senate eventually caves to Obama on more or less all of them............Who really cares if a few bureaucrats who will be approved anyway by the incoming Republican Senate in the new year get to work a few weeks or months early?
What really infuriates namby-pamby Republican senators is that Cruz forced them to take a public stand on the president's unilateral amnesty. They know that the Republican Party base is mad as hell over the amnesty, and they don't feel the need to answer to mere hoi polloi. Bought off by the crony capitalist lobby, they support amnesty but don't want to face the electoral consequences for their betrayal of the American people. Just as Democrats don't want to get rid of poverty, Republicans in leadership don't want to stop the amnesty(or get rid of Obamacare, for that matter). They need villains against which to rail.
Just about nobody in the conservative punditry seems to be getting the story right. They are regurgitating an easily digested talking point generated by Democrats and the Senate's RINO establishment. If it hadn't been for Cruz,a slew of Obama nominees would still be sucking their thumbs in a state of constitutional limbo, they'd have us believe.
And as usual, they're wrong about Cruz....

Nice post CW. As usual.
It is looking more and more like Cruz is our guy for 2016. He is certainly mine despite the fact that Charles Krauthammer also piled onto the “Crazy Cruz” meme. That was, for me, very disappointing.
But your post is certainly attracting the “Rome Needs to Be Built in a Day” conservatives who expect the transition from Marxist Dem rule to Reagan Conservatism to happen overnight. Unfortunately we are in a long war that has to be fought an election at a time. 2010 was very, very good. 2012 was not. In 2014 we took back the Senate and gained enough momentum that people are at least talking about President Ted Cruz. I call that progress. I will take it.
(Hey, master strategist Ann Coulter: do you still believe that McConnell is opposed to amnesty? Just nine months ago you viciously attacked conservatives for questioning McConnell's bona fides on the issue. You wrote that the senator "may be the only thing standing between us and a scheme to import 30 million new Democratic voters.")
I’m still baffled why they think people would believe Ted Cruz is the reason Harry Reid brought the nominees to a vote...
“Fox News Channel is, of course, pushing Jeb Bush. “
His Common Core is the opposite of small government conservatism.
They resent him cutting into their bribe money. They can’t be expected to live on a mere senator’s salary, without the kickbacks they might have to live like the rest of us and actually work for a living.
Remember who these people are.
I wouldn’t sweat the communist retard squaw from Massachusetts.
She has no connection to any constituencies save the communist retard one
In a nutshell, that is all this fight over $1,100,000,000,000 was about. Most if not all of the Senators and Congressmen have some pork in that bill and they did not want their bit of the pie to disappear or to even be debated.
They dislike Cruz because he wants to take their candy away.
Where can I get that bumper sticker?
We are with you, Ted and Mike! Don’t stop fighting! Continue to be strong!
bump
Ted Cruz bump!
This article is the only one I’ve read in a month and a half since the election that states the true situation
Why every other so called conservative (except rush) is so reluctant to state the obvious is baffling to me
Too bad this article is way too long
With twelve new senators come January, hopefully a number of them will side with him here and there, causing McConnell headaches.
I know that we lost a lot of good seats because the moneyed republican power brokers retained their seats. Well, a good number of them. But we did win some important ones. It will still be hard, but we need to make sure our voices are being heard, and that we voice our contempt when they give us the middle finger. I started a site on facebook called “For Such a Time as This to pray Obama out of office by the end of this year because I knew that a republican win was not going to change anything. I am continuing that prayer, should anyone want to join me.
I wish someone would start a GOP Wall of Shame page with the names of these RINO traitors. They must be remembered and punished at the polls.
Please point me to a Ted Cruz rebuttal on the tactics if you come across that. Thanks.
I heard it somewhere yesterday that Republicans were hoping Reid made a rookie mistake and let Obamas nominees wait for the new senate to be seated.
We knew Reid wouldn’t do that so regardless of what Cruz did, Obamas nominees would be seated. Actually, the problem was RINO’s were waiting for Obama to do this under the radar so they had a talking point, which of course wouldn’t have mattered anyway since they shot their load on the budget deal and not only doesn’t anyone trust them, but the MSM would have buried it.
Cruz did the right thing. Now all we need is billboards in all cities where the RINO won saying things like, “Thank you John McCain, Democrat”
“I heard it somewhere yesterday that Republicans were hoping Reid made a rookie mistake and let Obamas nominees wait for the new senate to be seated.”
Nominees expire at the end of a congress anyway. Obama would have had to renominate them, and they’d have to go through committee again, etc., unless they bypassed that to get them to the floor, which wouldn’t have happened.
So Reid was going to process as many as he could anyway.
Get yourself some sticker stock (Avery?) and give your printer a workout.
Alternatively, swipe that graphic (permission granted :) and search for online sticker shops.
Paste in the graphic and tell ‘em how many you want !
cheers
