The "Oprah-ization" of the American electorate began in the 1992 presidential campaign when the pony-tailed guy from the audience in Richmond whined to George H. W. Bush, "We are your children! What about OUR needs??"

A high, lofted softball, if I ever saw one. But instead of ripping this clown a new one ("Listen, Bozo. I'm not your daddy. I'm running for the office of President of the United States. Grow up and take responsibility for 'your own needs'."), Bush stuttered and equivocated. He went on to lose the election to King Bubba, The Big Creep.

At that very moment, we lost the battle against leftist infantile irresponsibility. It's been downhill ever since.

Then there was the “Diana-fication” of the world - the collective coming together to grieve over a faux celebrity - the near mass-hysteria [media driven] over someone you have no connection too but feel compelled to “care about,” to share in and to be part of a cultural “happening.”

Oh, the HUMANITY!

Boo-hoo!

I care.

I’m good.

What must our children think of this stupidity?

Good analysis of that situation. The American people need to grow a pair and only vote for conservatives, true patriots willing to return the nation to a constitutional republic. A president that enforces the rule of law instead of fleecing the public would be wonderful.
