Philippine government prosecutors charged a U.S. Marine with murder Monday in the killing of a Filipino, saying the suspect acknowledged attacking the victim after he found out she was a transgender.
Prosecutor Emilie de los Santos said there was "probable cause" that Marine Pfc. Joseph Scott Pemberton, who has been detained since shortly after the October incident, killed Jennifer Laude, whose former name was Jeffrey, in the motel room where the victim's body was found in Olongapo city, northwest of Manila.

And it takes two to tango: I also think the accused in this case, if the reporting is true, ought to provide a lesson to others. Don't go out whoremongering...it results in sinning against yourself, others, and God.
Very sad case.
I am so tired of this nonspecific “transgendered” thing.
Transgendered, transvestite, transsexual, transfat....whatever.
To me someone who is termed “transgendered” is someone who took the cut, took the plunge, went full-boat-cut-it-off-and-made-a-hoo hoo...
A soldier picks up some girl and finds out “she” isn’t a “she” likely didn’t find a post-op care/instruction sheet. More like he grabbed a hold of something he didn’t want to find.
To me, all these words are synonymous with crazy, unbalanced, defective.
Careful, we actually have a few Freepers that roam around the tranny threads trying to justify it.
Catering to mental disease, disgusting really.
Yeah...I know. One thing I will say is that I have more respect for someone with this psychosis/affliction who actually goes through the full Magilla and has the operation and all that than I do of a coward that dupes unsuspecting straight people.
You see these psychos all the time on Jerry Springer. One of their main comments is always “I get off on fooling men.”
Psychotic ego trips of a sick mind, if you ask me.
Crying game.
Courts are clogged, lawyers are hired, time is spent researching and writing, people's lives are commandeered and newspapers are full of stories about queers everywhere, rapes invented or real, love triangles, children born or aborted ... and the list is seemingly endless
The common denominator ?
They all are based on sex.
God is not -pleased
And the Marine would not have his life destroyed and be likely headed to prison for a long stretch if he wasn't perusing for sex in a dive bar. You play with fire when you take that approach.
I was in the Marine Corps too and I never went looking for hookers. I had normal relationships with women that developed through normal courtship practices. You know, take them out for dinner and movie, get to know them, and gradually have things move along. That kind of thing.
Regardless of fact this Marine by have been deceived by this person's true gender, it is still another human being and you do not have the right to murder somebody just because your "manhood" was put in question. A true man would be able to attract real women in more traditional ways.
Surprise, Sailor.
Far more likely he killed a prostitute who was stealing his wallet. Transsexual status was incidental.
Stay out of the red light districts.
You gotta look for the adam’s apple on those cherry boys.
Prostitution is illegal in the Philippines, but the law only applies to biological women not transgender individuals or men.
Not anything new in that part of the world, lots of similar stories during the VN war.
The queer sex agenda will always be pushed to the front of all news stories if there is an angle to play.
+1. There was a day when everyone going on leave in Olongapo City was issued a stern reminder of the dangers lurking there. I was there in the early 70’s and you had to be an idiot to get it wet there - even then.
Yep....that was my guess also.
One would think from the hoopla from media, Hollywood, politicians, political parties, et al that these troubled individuals comprise a significant portion of our population and is approaching, or has approached, normality.
In reality, I’d be highly surprised if the actual instances of this perversion actually amounted to more than 1 or 2 percent of the population.
Prostitution is illegal in the Philippines, ......SAY WHAT??? Must have happened last year.
....you said in a more detailed way the second half of my comments.
Thank you for contributing. :-)
Ah c’mon, there are certainly worse places in the world. Delhi, all of Bangladesh, the continent of Africa, just for starters. I spent a lot of liberty in Olongapo and the first thing you learned was stay away from the “benny boys”.
Thank God for the "O" Club.
