I been saying it for a long time now, the police are here to control you now, not help you. While they are some decent police officers, they are rapidly going the way of the dodo bird. The new breed of "law enforcement officer" are not the same as the old peace officer. You only fool yourself if you think so.
For that matter, the whole line of thinking of those in authority has changed. Under the Constitution, the Citizen was king and government existed to serve the Citizen. Under the new breed, Government is god and the citizen is its slave.
