Yes it could have been far worse...but when some of the hostages began to run he started shooting....police had to go into next phase of course....once the gunman began shooting it was going to go down fast and hard.
Morning.....it seems when 7 more hostages escaped that set the loon off and once he started shooting the team moved in to end it. I weep for my city.

Good video of the police going in even though dark once the fire thing’s are used you can see some of them doing their work...thanks for posting that.
So now that this is over... it was just a lone gunman. The Belgium thing ended as well with the gunmen arrested. It was unrelated.

Read Marcia Mikhael’s Facebook comments, sounds like she made it out safely. It’s assumed the gunman had used her social network to post demands.

THESE pictures depict the real image of “hands up, don’t shoot” and I am betting not one of these hostages minded doing it. In fact, they literally ran towards the police seeking protection. Our spoiled Americans, on the other hand, make a mockery of the police with their rioting against police protection. Let just one of them face a similar situation and their unwarranted outrage would turn them to pudding.

The man was an Islamic activists....and by his actions prior in Australia he should have at the least been deported ....you play nice they will surely get someone in the end...this was preventable IMO. Sadly there will be more similar to it as the Muslims are watching eevery episode to fine tune what they plan.
