Rush: Cromnibus Designed to 'Eliminate the Tea Party'
breitbart.com ^ | 12/12/14

Posted on 12/12/2014 11:44:37 AM PST by cotton1706

Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh railed against provisions in the cromnibus that relaxed campaign finance rules on Friday, saying that it was designed to "basically eliminate [the Tea Party] as a viable threat," and "how corporate America is going to defeat the Tea Party."

He explained "that campaign finance stuff...I'm going to tell you exactly what that is...the limits have practically been obliterated which means that corporate donors can just start giving left and right."

Limbaugh continued "This is how corporate America is going to defeat the Tea Party. By allowing limitless donations from that crowd under the rubric that its campaign finance and money is speech and freedom of speech and 1st Amendment, the theory is that Main Street, Tea Party people can't come close to competing with corporate money and so it is a Republican Establishment ploy that kind of dovetails nicely with Obama siccing the IRS on the Tea Party to basically eliminate them as a viable threat by relaxing a regulation in Dodd-Frank that pretty much permits corporations to spend any kind of money they want on politics."

Earlier, he declared "our Speaker of the House [got] in bed with Obama and advances the Obama agenda, takes care of it, amnesty, Obamacare, fully funded, done deal, the election must not have mattered."

For such a birth to happen in such a time frame, lot of pain would be required, way more than I want to endure. what pain are you talking about?

Our Republic is at death's door. Neither party is taking any action to save our Republic.

If anything both parties are willfully destroying our Republic as founded. We are being transformed into a third-world sewer.

Pain, and a lot of it, will happen if we somehow don't stop the insanity of D.C.

“The Tea Party is not a political party. It is a spirit flowing throughout the land that will not be denied.”

A political movement based on love of freedom will always be a viable and growing movement. Aren’t we all on Free Republic because we love freedom?

Rush’s warning about the low information voters is my only concern. If each of us would pick just one friend and educate him, it would help.

I always thought the best shot is to have a great number of elected Conservatives in the GOP leave en mass to a new party. We could pick a date, July 4, 2015. They could leave and make a very bold statement for Liberty.

This has a much better chance of happening than people think. Consider this: had Ross Perot not dropped out of the race, he had a legitimate chance of winning the presidency, and, had he done so, the reform party would have been a legitimate party overnight. Ross Perot did these, even though the level of discontent (at every point on the political spectrum) was a tiny fraction of what it is now, and despite the fact that my left shoe has more charisma than he has. And, despite the fact that most people would have been scared to death if they had to share the road with his running mate (no disrespect meant towards Admiral Stockdale, just that he didn't exactly inspire confidence), and his "party" didn't even exist.

Why was Ross Perot able to do this? Simple: a clear consistent message, spoken directly to the people, and one which simply laid out how things are, and what he would do. No magic. No high paid consultants. No branding. Just a simple, direct, non-condescending message.

The "en mass" exit you describe, could very easily create a viable major party, overnight. Many of the people who now claim it to be impossible will later say they saw it coming all along (these are the same types of people who said Reagan was unelectable, and then scrambled to declare Reagan's political prowess after the fact).

If we all thought like you, the country would have collapsed after Marbury vs. Madison. Bad court decisions have been with us since the very start.

We have a government many orders of magnitude more dominant in our lives and the economy. We are taking about true tyranny potentially arising if it isn't somehow rolled back.

We are living in perilous times and for the GOPe and the RATs is is business as usual -- grow government and diminish our Liberties.

what pain are you talking about?

An example might be easier.

Let's use the rise of the Tea Party, which was the result of the pain of high taxes. That began 5 years ago, and while it is a vigorous movement, it still has a long ways to go.

You are suggesting that another such movement will begin, and in a year, do even more what it took 5 years the Tea Party to make happen. For that to occur, there needs to be an unstoppable driving force moving a extremely high speed.

Now we are into armed revolution phases, and that's something I would rather avoid. Even if it did occur, I'm not sure anyone can know where it might end. A dictatorship wouldn't be entirely out of the question.

Our Founding Fathers were wise beyond their earthly abilities.

Let's do this their way.

Add me to the list of those who are proud TEA Party voters. I will not be deterred by anything an evil politician throws at me or my country.

From my post above For that to occur, there needs to be an unstoppable driving force moving a extremely high speed.

I should have added that for such a force to materialize, an extreme amount of pain must be imposed on Americans to get them to rise up in such an unnatural way.

What kind of pain would that be?

Examples would be food and fuel embargos. People hungry, not going to work, etc.

I can't picture any armed revolution arising. We are not "yet" a banana Republic. Even though we are all definitely frustrated we are still too civil for such a dangerous undertaking. I don't think anyone wants that.

You are suggesting that another such movement will begin, and in a year, do even more what it took 5 years the Tea Party to make happen. For that to occur, there needs to be an unstoppable driving force moving a extremely high speed.

The past four years or so we have been observing that the GOPe has repeatedly been given support by the people to stand up to the tyrannical actions of this corrupt administration.

The people have repeatedly seen the GOPe cave on issue after issue.

The people have seen the GOPe leaders LIE to their faces.

The frustration is palpable and culminating in anger. I believe people are going to realize over the next year or that the GOPe is as big an enemy as the RATs to the survival of our Republic. I think economic conditions will continue to deteriorate. The Marxist will continue to stir unrest and division within our society.

Some nonviolent spark will be fired that will cause a tidal wave of movement to a political party that will seriously address the growing tyranny.

I think it’s an excellent idea. An entity whose purpose is to support candidates and causes rooted in constitutional and godly principles, without compromise. Do it.

>>>I feel sorry for the millions of suckers misled into thinking the Republicans are conservatives<<<

Who said that? I just thought they weren’t Democrats. LOL

In fact, the only people that think Republicans are Conservative are the Democrats.

I will not be disappointed at all. The probably of turning around our Republic is quite low. I am not going to pretend otherwise. I also will not let it eat at me -- I live my life in peace and happiness.

However, I would pleasantly be surprised to have the GOPe politically destroyed.

Now, my happiness does not depend on that happening, but it would bring a smile.

They fail to understand that the TP is not a political party. It is a spirit flowing throughout the land that will not be denied.

Well stated, Louis. That is the most precise, realistic expression of what the Tea Party is, that I've seen in a very long time.

The GOP-e is attempting to stop something that is akin to a force of nature. The minds and hearts of the people have moved toward the restoration of the America the Framers bequeathed to us, and they will not be turned from that goal.

The elites can step aside and allow the people to peacefully do what they're determined to do, or they can continue to behave like enemies of the republic, be branded as traitors, and relegated to their fate.

He failed on all and stabbed, even Ohioans, in the back. We can only hope a grassroots effort gets started to try to get him removed. The people of Ohio have to do the right thing and get him out of there before he helps the democrats and liberals do more damage to this country.

This interminable game of Whack-A-Mole will never get rid of the RINO elites and their bosom buddies on the Dem side. Voting them out doesn't work, when they're just replaced by the next RINO in line.

We need to come together and do something bigger and bolder than just quietly pushing buttons in a voting booth. About the only thing that will get them shaking in their boots at this point, is massive, sustained protests in DC. I'm talking ten million patriots or more - and they've got to stay there until fedzilla backs down.

I'm serious. We're going to have to make a noise so big that the whole world will be deafened by it. Nothing else is going to do it at this point.
