Mobs of New York (condoned by Obama)
Wall Street Journal ^ | December 10, 2014 | DANIEL HENNINGER

...

In Berkeley, Calif., a mob protesting the grand jury decisions in the Eric Garner and Michael Brown cases broke the window of a Trader Joe ’s supermarket. They wrecked a RadioShack store and smashed ATM machines.

That still wasn’t enough.

This Monday, some two dozen New York City Council members went into the street in front of city hall and disrupted traffic. For the people gridlocked in their cars, taxis and delivery trucks, Councilman Andy King explained: “We have a responsibility to wake you up, and the only way people get woken up is if you disrupt their everyday normalcy.”

That evening, President Obama in an interview gave his approval. Calling violence “counterproductive,” the president nonetheless said, “Power concedes nothing without a fight, that’s true, but it’s also true that a country’s conscience has to be triggered by some inconvenience.” This, he said, was “the value of peaceful protests, activism.”

Let me rephrase that: The president of the United States is holding the door open for politics by mob rule, the invasion of private property and economic damage to store owners.

Police Commissioner Bratton said he was giving the protesters “breathing room.” New York’s mayor, Bill de Blasio , said the effect of the demonstrations was “minimal.”

What an irony. At the infamous 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago, two groups—the Yippies (formally, the Youth International Party) and the National Mobilization Committee to End the War in Vietnam did the same thing. New York’s theatrical protest groups are the progeny of the Yippies and the Mobilization. But now, they are the Democrats’ base.

“We have a responsibility to wake you up, and the only way people get woken up is if you disrupt their everyday normalcy.”

My question for these people would be: does this disruption make it more likely that other people will join your cause, realize that they should work for social change and all that??? Or do you just piss people off by making them late to work and other places they are going???

And, does seeing violent mobs of protesters, many of whom are black, make it more likely or less likely to reinforce the violent stereotypes which blacks supposedly want to fight against as being untrue stereotypes???

Yeah, I’m already awake and when you disrupt my daily routine, all it does is piss me off and make me less tolerant towards your asinine blathering. You are NOT gaining any friends with your BS! Hand down, pants up. Give a hoot, don’t burn and loot and no one will shoot!

I’m sick of Dems lack of law enforcement when they feel the group breaking the laws is their group.

We saw this with Occupy Wall Street and now this group of thugs. If it continues, people will take law enforcement into their own hands, and that is really the role of law enforecement oficers - it’s bizarro world.

The lives of public officials, who have an obligation and a sworn duty to uphold the laws, need to be disrupted in the same manner in which they’re disrupting the lives of everyday citizens. These officials do not hold real jobs to which they have to be at work on time every day, so they need something to motivate them.

Tarring and feathering might motivate a few public officials.

This Monday, some two dozen New York City Council members went into the street in front of city hall and disrupted traffic.

You know what amazes me about that, is THEY are responsible for making cops act like tax agents, demanding cops act like the Gestapo against a guy selling a single cigarette so they city can get their damn nickel tax. And then they have the gall to protest? How many businesses have they destroyed, how many lives from all their damn tax agents, inspectors they send out every day to shake down business owners? A friend of mine had to close up shop from all the BS fines the city was dumping on him, "Cash register display less than 7" from the counter - $1000 fine....Cigarette display less 3 feet from counter - $1000 fine" on and on and on. F this city council and their BS, all the do is ban and regulate, and THEY have the gall to protest because cops took action on THEIR BS demands driving the perp to a heart attack? BTW remember what he said "You guys always hassling me" ...Yep, that's the city council demanding cops act like tax agents.

Run them over ...... make goo

That’ll wake the rest of them up to the fact that lawlessness is intolerable in a society driven to violence by violence

“Stolen lives killed by law enforcement”

How about they hold up a sign “Law enforcement killed by thugs because cops hesitate to use their guns thanks to racists who protests anytime a thug is killed”

[Art.] New York’s mayor, Bill de Blasio , said the effect of the demonstrations was “minimal.”

DeBlasio is a Soviet Socialist -- he would say that.

This sounds like an "information operation" being run out of the White House with the New York mayor's office helping.
