THE NUCLEAR OPTION: IF REPUBLICANS DON'T FIGHT NOW, THEY NEVER WILL
Breitbart ^ | December 10, 2014 | by Charles Hurt

Posted on 12/10/2014 6:42:53 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Call it the mysterious case of the Incredible Shrinking GOP.

Barely one month ago, the party sailed to victory in one of the biggest rout election waves of the past century. They ran the board and took control of the U.S. Senate. They grew to historic levels in the U.S. House. The Democratic Party was left in tatters in state, local, and governor races across the country.

But today, just a few weeks later, before GOPers even take hold of their new reins of power, the party is crying poverty. They are stricken with paralysis. House Speaker John A. Boehner, known for his weeping, begs powerlessness.

"Frankly, we have limited options and limited abilities to deal with it directly," Mr. Boehner said last week when asked about President Obama's unconstitutional executive action to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens presently living illegally in the U.S.

"Limited options?" "Limited abilities?" We have an unbridled madman in the White House right now taking a machete to the U.S. Constitution and the leader of the opposition party that was just thrust to power in a historic rejection of the president and his cleptocratic policies is now talking about "limited" options and abilities?

Funny, I don't recall a single Republican running in a single race this year on a campaign that Republicans in Congress have only "limited" options and abilities to stop Mr. Obama. No, in fact, every single one of them ran their entire campaigns on the singular promise that we have to vote for Republicans so they could stop Mr. Obama. And Americans voted.

Now the chads have not even settled yet and already we are being told the whole meaning of the election is something different now. Now that they have won.

Either Republicans did not really believe their campaign...

Maybe now people are starting to understand why some of us fought so hard to keep RINOs out of another term.

Folks, there’s nothing we can do about it now. They were returned to DC and they acted exactly as predicted. Now we have another choice to make. We can either make more excuses for cowardace or we can start working for 16 and praying a lot.

And that means getting on the same page. And that means doing it without the GOP cheer squad tying us up in pointless arguments about Jeb and Rand and Rick and all the other liberal losers that have already begun on Free Republic.

We have 6 years of that. We see what the result is. Is that what we want to do yet again in the liberal like ‘hope’ that ‘this time will be different?’

None of this is rocket surgery folks. It’s all as simple as it gets. Vote conservative. promote conservatives. Stop letting RINOs run the show. Stop letting them have an open forum to spread dissension and the fear that has resulted in this mess we see today.

Otherwise, why are any of us here? I don’t mean just here on FR, I mean involved with politics at all? If we are going to simply go through the motions doing not a thing different every 2 years, don’t we all have better things to do?

If people would have listened years ago when the GOP began the sprint left, we’d have had a functional conservative party now. Instead fear controlled people and they ran to the arms of the GOP. Well now conservatives have enough knives sticking out of their backs to get them listed by science as a species of porcupine.

It does not have to be that way. Each of you have free will and a choice. Make it and live by it without the drama. Either be what you claim, a conservative and fight like one or just keep doing the same thing every cycle. Lose an election, talk tough for a year and a half and then cave in exactly as Bhoner and Mitch cave in because ultimately there is no difference. We get the government we elect.

All the warning signs were there. They have not been hidden. Do we see that now? Do we understand that the Dem is NOT worse than the RINO? It is not the Democrats that did this. It’s the GOP. ‘OUR’ GOP.

Make the choice.

The proposed solution--funding most of the federal government until next September, but funding Homeland Security only until next March--would, I believe, serve the dual purposes of keeping the government open (so that the left-leaning MSM cannot blame Those Evil Republicans for any government shutdown), while allowing a Republican-controlled Congress (both chambers, beginning in January) to set the priorities as concerning illegal immigration.

In fact, Charles Krauthammer--certainly no liberal--has made a similar point.

It’s just sickening to see Boehner cave again.

Boehner did no cave he forced the conservatives in the House to cave and he is unopposed in his leadership.

Boehner has a different agenda than we do, time we figured that out. It is probably too late to undo what the Progressives have done until we have a total financial collapse which is sure to come.

When America is weak it invites opportunistic tyrants to wage war and they surely will.

We have became undeserving of His protection but still we should pray, God Help Us.

The members from the recent elections should move to eject Boehner and McConnell.

It’s the GOP. ‘OUR’ GOP.

It was never our GOP, well excluding Reagan years, and even he could not kill off the most evil of the Progressive flagship programs. The Department of Education was one of those campaign platform planks along with Nation Endowment of the Arts and many other equally repulsive programs are still with us.

The Washingtonians must be stopped and that will only happen via military intervention directed by a Right Wing strong man POTUS with no allegiance to the corruptocrats.

Happens all the time in other countries.

Occasionally, Republics need to be reset.

It’s time

Unfortunately, I don't think anything like that will happen to save us.

I believe our Republic will steadily descend into a third-world sewer up until a complete societal collapse occurs.

Charles is right a lot, not this time. By March the worst of the damage will have been done, and be very difficult to be undone, even if the GOPe wanted to, which they don't.

But I don’t get it why not? Everybody in politics can’t be liberals or Rhinos it doesn’t seem possible so what gives? Our principles are good ones. They are Classic Americana. What is behind this traitorous agenda? Is there nobody that will stand by their convictions? Once they get into power they turn into sissy-boys. Why?

They must do something—something BOLD if they are to walk back the Imperial President. If you can’t impeach—then investigate all his misdeeds! No State of the Union Speach—walk out or sit stone cold as the clown in chief talks. No clapping even if he barfs out “I support our brave men and woman in uniform” -— The MSM will punish you for any infraction. Get some fire in the belly—or it will be time to dump the RINO Party and replace it with the Liberty Party. Just like the UK—the two party system has failed us. Like the UK we may need a new party—like the UKIP.

Why bother voting?
That’s the problem, even though the GOP won elections, it was with a historically low turnout. If Reps don’t do anything they might get kickout out in two years, because the public mood seems to be, “if you’re not happy with what is happening now, kick them out and let the next guy try.”

I want every SOB who came on FRIDAY and told us to “hold our nose” and vote for the GOP to justify this crap. Be a leader and speak up! Then, prepare to be tarred and feathered with the idiots you’ve supported.

Like all government work, Congress is led by “next in line” not the “best in line.” No better case in point than John Boehner. He’s SOTH because he has fed at the public trough the longest. Sad and pathetic.

A huge part of the USA is not represented by either political party. Does secession fit anywhere into this situation?

If the Federal Govt ceases to represent the will of the state and the people, the people have a right to petition the state and the state has the right to break the connection, via legislative action endorsed by the governor, with the Federal Govt. It is called secession.

The Obama regime has torn up the Constitution, abused the IRS for political purposes, ripped up the military, and has otherwise made a mockery of the Republic. What are we waiting for?

Are sympathetic potential leaders getting threatened, subverted or worse? The MSM does look like a roadblock, after what they did to Governor Palin and her offspring. Has Obama or his henchmen hinted at internal nuclear war? Something is missing here, because in Africa a resistance would have already taken to the bush to challenge the bastards.

See my previous post. Sorry, should have included you in the reply line. How can the petitions be started? It is getting late.

Either Republicans did not really believe their campaign promises, they were lying or they are just scared to keep those promises to stand up to Mr. Obama and do everything in their power to stop him.

They lied.

If not I say prove it. Vote no on the omnibus.

You need to contact local state govt and ask them how do they plan on fighting the tyranny at the Federal level. The battle at the Federal level is lost. The states need to get “their collective cojones” together and fight. Up to an including secession.
