Rand: Omnibus 'Abomination,' Will Show If GOP Wins 'Made a Difference'
Breitbart ^ | 12/9/2104 | Ian Hanchett

Posted on 12/10/2014 1:22:35 PM PST by PapaNew

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) argued that the "abomination" omnibus bill was "a chance to see if electing Republicans made a difference" on Tuesday's "Laura Ingraham Show."

"I'll vote no to any kind of 2,000 page bill that I'm given at the last minute that we don't have time to read, it's an abomination, nobody should support a Congress that stuffs all the spending into one bill, nobody reads it, there are no reforms, no amendments, and it really is probably why Congress has about a 10% approval rate because this is not doing our job" he declared.

Paul added that when the GOP takes the majority it should pass separate appropriations bills, and "this will be a chance to see if electing Republicans made a difference in January and for the next nine or ten months. If Republicans actually do their job and pass every appropriation bill then I think the American people will stand up, applaud and elect more Republicans."

On the issue of President Obama's executive action on immigration, Paul stated that Obama's use of Congressional gridlock to justify the order "appalls me." He also said "I won't vote for this spending bill if it includes money for the executive amnesty. In January, when we have the power, I will also insist that we do it through the appropriations process."

Most of those who go to congress go to cash in and NOT work. They’re lazy as hell. They don’t have time to read a bill. It takes time from the leisure activities and hob knobbing with the big knobs.

Rand would never have his picture taken with David Duke, but Al Sharpton is a-okay? Go figure.

I expect to be disgusted by Obama and his fellow commie democrats but these days the most disgusting politicians are in the party I have voted for in every election. I wish some conservative congressman and senator would start speaking up and publicly calling Boehner and McConnell the traitors that they are. Please god I love this country and it is just about gone to hell. Please hear my call senators and congressmen who call yourselves conservatives. Go to every media microphone and camera you can find and start calling Boehner and McConnell out for the traitors they are and call for their immediate replacement.

There’s ONLY ONE language politicians understand and it’s the language of ACTION: voters throwing misbehaving politicians out of office.

Nothing else matters to them.

Milton Friedman had it right. It is about political profitability. Politics is a competitive business just like anything else and politicians are interested in extending their livelihood just like everyone else.

“People in Congress are in the business of buying votes and competing with one another to get elected. The same Congressman will vote for a different thing if he thinks it is politically profitable. People think you solve problems by changing Congress and electing the right people. It’s nice to elect the right people but that isn’t the way you solve things. The way you solve things is by making it politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right things. Unless it is politically profitable for the wrong people to do the right thing, the right people will not do the right thing either...”

well, the newly elected people haven’t taken office yet, so this is a little premature.

No. The current House Republicans are passing this CR crap this week. Not the new guys next year.

The Republicans hold the House right now, and must pass the CR for it to pass.

That seems to be a point the RINO talking points memo sent out to the drones continues to overlook. They are probably shocked to learn(if capable) Boehner is a Republican and the Speaker of the House.

Yep, I've seen that lie repeated a lot here on FR recently.

It must be a talking point directed at lo-info voters.

Everyone with a clue knows the current House Republicans control this Omnibus.

“Time for the “bullet box”, boys and girls. Our country as we KNEW it is over.”

I think not. You need organization and leadership to open the “bullet box.” Conservatives have neither. It took the Founders 25 years before they were organized, along with leadership, before they could take on King George and the Tory infestation.

Let’s first see if conservatives can get politically organized enough to elect a pro-2nd Amendment, Constitutional sheriff in their counties before we start talking about the bullet box.
